While slavery was evil, disgraceful, and repugnant, the idea of reparation is even worse. To whom do we present a bill for this stain in our history? How much should the bill be? And finally, to whom should any money be paid? Mitchell's ignorance is really deafening.

So true! If Brent was black these would be a non-issue.

Wow! Someone with a bit of reasoning that makes sense. The facts do speak for themselves, and no amount of petty jealousy can change that. Mr. Symonette does not need the money, but the Bahamians who work for his company certainly do, and the country who benefits from the superb work that his company does certainly do. Thank you Mr. Brent Symonette.

On UPDATED: Symonette resigns from Cabinet

I know Cat Island very well. I grew up there as a boy and worked there for several years as and adult. Your insulting drivel does not change the fact that the island is only about 70 miles long. No one, living anywhere on the island, will have to travel more than 50 miles to access the airport at The New Bight..

Well_mudda_take_sic is a profound idiot who writes a bunch of non-sensical garbage, adding nothing to the conversation. What a bunch of "Croc" .

At least they are doing something about the problem - instead of kicking the can down the road.

r
Rev. McAlpine is definitely an opportunist who used the FNM coattails to ride to victory. Such a man cannot be trusted.

the constitution will bear out that the leader of the opposition does not have to be consulted, only the Commissioner of Police. Mr. Davis knows better......
