Someone better tell this Jacka## that governing requires decisions based on reason, not stakeholders.

Also to all governing Jacka## the only stakeholders are Bahamian citizens, businesses are not stakeholders, and business interests are obviously going to be in complete opposition to conservation.

The business owner / fisherman in this case will think as long as supply lasts as long as he done wan be fishing then the conservation is good!

Monkey see monkey do would at worst be better than anything our people can or will ever come up with.

Besides, we need more guns, the more people killed. The less remain!
Too many people in this world. Certainly too many on our islands.

We need a new plague to fix our country

Stoner, first of all, you should let your pride direct u to a new nickname, your current one is shameful.

Better men than Richardson have been turfed out by the Blue jays, he better be careful. You can't trust Canadians.

Chucky says...

Boy you can tell some people like dog better than man, don't ya wish they would put that effort into helping our poorest people.

when last time you heard them pay to fly any poor person hope to family Island, never mind all the way to canada.

Something wrong with some them dog lovers, those thing alive, sure, they feel pain sure, but what about stop wasting limited charity on dogs and put that on our hungry people.

It's not as though these people don't eat meat and chicken, and last I check the cow/steer / and chicken all feel pain. Hell pigs proven to be smarter than dog, and these "dog lovers" happily eat bacon, turn a blind eye to our poor people and fly a damn dog all the way to canada.

Guess from this we know that canadians like our dogs, just a little more than they like our people.

Kinda funny, Business interests are same as those of bureaucrats, i.e. to protect themselves!

If business is negotiating with government to "protect their interests", thats code for "protect their markets & profit", that is the sames as saying the government is going to assure business interests are protected- at the expense of the populous...

E.g. if we protect "bob the pineapple grower", i.e. so his prices stay up, rather than cheaper imports coming in, we the consumer pays the higher price.

Sure we might save "bob's" business from bankruptcy due to efficient competitors.

But then we fail to benefit from any more efficient producers in the world???

And if we can't compete with outside producers entering our market (we're here and already producing); then HOW please tell me are we to benefit from access to their markets??????????????

Clearly, there will be no upside to this World Trade Order boondoggle....

The worst of it is that everyone knows this.. These trade deals have killed all western world high wage manufacturing!

All this does is lower the wages in our country to meet the lowest common denominator, i.e. china, india etc etc etc

"When the police are out there conducting the business of the people"

Good quote Dames; except the reality is that public policing is only the secondary function of the police force. Any thinking person knows that the police is a tool of the ruling class. They exist to protect the ruling class from the masses, and to protect their revenue streams.
Public policing, commonly called law enforcement is a byproduct of this force, and only done with a couple of goals in mind. One is they need you to be able to bumble along reasonably safely so you carry on producing , so they can skim the fruits of your labour. And secondly, they can't allow to many to be killed or harmed. Lest they will have a shrinking pool of people to skim from..
It's really no different than anything else, they need you educated enough to produce, and healthy enough to produce, but that's it.
Thus the crumby health care and substandard education.
It's just that simple folks.

Police are the enforcers, the only source of "legal & authorized violence", it's right in front of you.

The only services a government will offer is one that they can skim in immeasurable ways. You will never be able to ascertain the breakdown of any of them. E.g. the funds directed towards healthcare versus what's really spent. Same for educatiion.. Same for policing. The reasons for the fines being imposed for criminal activity is they must profit from policing too. If it were otherwise, they would pass on the priceeds from fines to the real victimss. But as we know, they consider all crimes, crimes against the state , as they effect the revenue skimmed from the people. Thus the government keeps the proceeds coming from the criminal, and who cares about the victim.
An individual cop can be either good or bad, but the police force is entirely evil. And has a different set of goals that are never discussed ..
You are all surfs, unless , you're part of the ruling class.
The police are the agents of your masters.
The chains now are debt, taxes and rules, and of course yes you are free, free to follow the rules. Free to pay your taxes, free to allow the rulers to enjoy the fruits of your labor..
Choose differently, and they will use the police thugs and their violence to take you out of the system.

What's more apaling than the incidious use of church funds for the benefit of "church leaders"; is the systemic problem of child sexual abuse. While the Catholic church is not alone in this, it has definitely been exposed as the greatest offender.
I feel that it could prove to be useful to collect data regarding church finances, as this could serve criminal investigations in that confiscation , as in confiscation of the proceeds of crime, could be better achieved by knowing church assets.

The prosecution and in some cases the elimination of churches and the leaders is loing overdue; as if it's not bad enough that the behaviour of some church leaders is in effect desecrating the religion they purport to serve, but in addition they sexually abuse minors and rob their members.
If religion is to survive, we need to weed out and eliminate the bad churches and the bad leaders, before, the shame they cause disgraces our religion beyond recovery..
