Criminals interrogating criminals. The Bahamas isn’t a real country, folks. Smh. The public needs to demand that cameras be placed in these police interrogation rooms. Do these idiot police officers not know that any testimony or evidence given under coercion can be deemed inadmissible in court? When are we going to transition into a real country and leave the “banana republic” bull-crap behind? Smt.

Inexcusable, sir! You are totally out of line! A perfect microcosm as to why our country is in such a deplorable and morally decadent state! This is felony assault! How is it that a senior police officer is unaware that he is bound by a code of conduct whether in or out of uniform. And the fact that he feels comfortable with this type of behavior in a public forum speaks volumes! One can only imagine what takes place behind close doors! This deplorable behavior by law enforcement personnel cannot go unpunished. The tribunal has no choice but to make an example of him!

Very sad story indeed. I feel horrible for the family. I’m no fan of the RBPF but I imagine it would be very difficult to hold someone criminally responsible unless there was evidence suggesting reckless driving or a hit and run. Nevertheless investigators should express some compassion by updating family members as to their findings. Family members are victims too and should not have to continually prompt police officers for updates regarding matters such as this. Our people are so careless and heartless. No professionalism at all. Smt.

I agree with Mr. Bastian in theory but in practicality I don’t.

As it currently stands, Bahamians haven’t demonstrated the ability to consistently operate and manage complex technologies needed to support fluid infrastructure. Brief example, take a look at BPL. The simple fact is, our people nor its government has invested or laid the educational and developmental framework necessary to meet today’s technological demands. We simply have not built that foundation. Technological concepts and frameworks need to be built from the ground up. As far as I know the Bahamas doesn’t produce any computer programmers, electronic coders or software engineers. These people are the actual scientists needed to build and connect these complex computer systems. And because we don’t have these human resources readily available, we end up having to outsource these jobs to North America or Europe. The best we can hope for is to establish various over-site committees to monitor operations and regulate profits.

Murderers need to be executed. Period. The problem isn’t the criminals running amok in the Bahamas, but rather our derelict, decadent government who outright refuses to eradicate the criminal element plaguing our nation. The Bahamas is suffering from a crisis in leadership. Every time we vote PLP or FNM we contribute to the destruction of our country. So here we are.

The U.S. doesn’t have to rely on blackmail tactics in order to influence our government. They own the Bahamas already. We rely on them for sustenance and survival. The fact that they haven’t disclosed the perpetrator is solely due to diplomacy.

Does Mr. Pintard really believe that the RBPF is going to indict themselves??? The Police Department along with corrupt politicians are the ones responsible for the drug trafficking, gun trafficking, and human trafficking in the region, and everybody knows it. It’s actually a slap in our faces. Both affiliates within the upper echelon of government and law enforcement are all co-conspirators. Nothing leaves nor enters the Bahamas without their approval.
