Blah blah blah. How many times have we heard the useless phrase “an investigation has been launched”. And as usual, it goes nowhere. The very same people claiming to do the investigation are just as hapless, incompetent, and careless as the clinicians they’re investigating. The Bahamas is just another banana republic.

Very sad story indeed. Unfortunately this is the way things operate in the Bahamas. It’s simply a part of our culture and it’s who we are as a people. Careless doctors, nurses and clinicians clearly failed to intervene and as a result this lady died. It happens all to often at PMH. Very sad.

Oh sorry. I misunderstood.

Nope! I disagree with your sentiments. When it comes to the masses, Bahamian people have proven irrational, unreasonable, unruly and foolish. As the adage goes “stupid is what stupid does. Cautioning Bahamians against foolish behavior doesn’t mean that he’s “talking down” to us. He’s simply saying “please don’t be foolish”. The government wants the economy to return to some sense of normalcy and in order to achieve that COVID numbers must remain low.

Did this man just use “Bahamians” and “Disciplined” in the same sentence??? That’s the textbook example of an oxymoron.

One of two things need to happen. Either the prison officers should be charged with criminal negligence, or another prisoner needs to be charged with murder. Furthermore, why is a psychotic prisoner being allowed amongst the general prison population? The mother stated that her son had been “laced”. If this is true, then her son is bound to have bouts of extreme psychosis. He needed psychiatric help. The courts need to start holding branches of our national security accountable when criminals die in their custody. An investigation by the police and the prison is joke at best. There needs to be an independent investigation conducted.

@mandela…. Hubert Minnis did have a strategy on how to deal with COVID19. The problem for him was that the Bahamian people did not agree with his strategy. They felt his plan was harsh, insensitive and counterproductive.

Maurice Moore’s position on this matter is as outdated as he is. Any sane person living in the Bahamas for the past few years would agree that Hubert Minnis’ popularity amongst the electorate is beyond repair. There is simply no way that he can salvage leadership of the FNM party. And attempting to do so would only set the FNM back decades.

Why hasn’t anyone express concern over this blatant and outrageous “conflict of interest” that is Wayne Munroe. I am astounded by the fact the Opposition/FNM has allowed this travesty to go unchecked. Wayne Munroe is by trade a criminal defense attorney. He has represented clients including murderers, rapist, drug dealers, and some of the most unsavory characters against charges levied by the Crown. To have him serving as head of national security is absurd to say the least! Under no circumstances should any individual be allowed to serve on both sides of the law. If this practice is allowed, then one office would undoubtably compromise the other! Can you imagine Wayne Munroe giving instructions to police officers who have investigated cases that he has represented??? That’s a flagrant violation of the justice system! How can a criminal defense attorney also be in charge of the police force??? What kind of country is this???

I don’t understand why Dr. Minnis is crying. He brought this on himself and his party. His hostile and careless attitude towards the immediate concerns of the Bahamian people is why the FNM lost. It almost seems as if Hubert Minnis did everything in his power to guarantee an FNM loss.
