What the Bahamas don't realized is that we are losing people in every industry. We are competing for skill immigrants but our head is still in the sand.
So much for been a constitutional protected position. I voted for the FNM but they should have treated Mr. Greenslade in a more honorable manner. The position of Commisioner should not be at the whim of some politician.
I don't support the tearing apart of families. I know of a situation right know where the husband is working on a family island separate and apart from his wife and children for the past three years. If there is a need to send an officer to a family island send the single ones. Our society is in chaos because we don't value the concept and virtue of a proper family structure.
I would not recommend Quickbooks either but it could be adapted for almost any enterprise including government. Remember there are companies that have larger GDP's than the Bahamas.
The bulk of the National Debt is moneys owed to ourselves. The Government burrows from NIB. NIB lends money that suppose to finance old age retirement pension. The money meets current obligation at the expense of future needs. The system is build on straws.
It was never mentioned during the elections and his Campbell last name would have not betrayed him. There was a gentleman with the last name Pinnock who ran several elections cycle ago and he had to constantly defend the fact that he was not Haitian. I have been a Bahamian as long as anyone else living in the Bahamas and before that a British subject. I am fully aware of the xenophobia that dwells within. You display your ignorance to deny it.
I will be quite surprise if he holds a Haitian passport. Haitian Bahamians treat their Haitian ancestry like a plague. Even though Fred Mitchell policy require them to get a passport or get kick out of school, they choose the latter.
My logic is simple. It makes no difference whether you are black listed or not, the end result is still the same. Off shore banking is non-existent. I think we would have been better off if we didn't comply.

It's a good thing he didn't mentioned his heritage before the elections. He most likely would not have been a member of parliament.
