Generally, there are always ways to get what you want. All you have to do is use your soggy rice pudding like my science teacher used to say.
This is the worst possible time to be given promotions to any public servant. The private sector that pays the public sector are losing jobs left and right and the powers that be thinks it is ok to increase the demand on the public purse at this time.
I am of the opinion that the same thing holds through for a rental agreement. Besides Fred Smith who usually speaks out on Government over-reach there ain't t to much lawyers willing to challenge the Government.
The population density that exist in New Providence is even worst than what is stated. If you draw a circle with the center been East street and Robinson with a radius of three miles in any direction that's where 75% of the population of the Bahamas lives. The eastern and the western end of New Providence has a reasonable amount of persons per square mile.
Survive today so you can be alive for tomorrow. Surviving today sometimes requires you to prune some branches. Paying people who are not working is tough for any business especially when the VAT Office send a notice indicating that VAT is due tomorrow.
Don't remedy it until you discover the reason why mold is growing. Mold needs moisture to thrive. The moisture source is most likely an old pipe. It may also be wise for the embassy to hire a mechanical engineer to design a modern day HVAC to eliminate humidity that may buildup in the Embassy from time to time.
An approach that would produce better results is to make it mandatory that everyone wear a mask or cloth over their mouth and nose. If someone cough or sneezes the primary cloth or mask should catch any droplets that the cough or masks produces. If droplets do escape the secondary mask or cloth would provide additional protection. This approach treats everyone as though they are a potential super spreader.
The government has me confuse with this one. Come Monday the food store lines will be crazy. The weekend lockdown accomplishes nothing accept to add to the distrust that already exist among the population. Government said on numerous occasion don't stock-up on food and then this. Grand Bahama doesn't have potable water so those who had planned to refilled tomorrow or even shopped probably cussing the PM.
Until you ran a business many individual don't understand why an employer can have arrears to NIB. When a business have limited funds you have some tough choices to make. You make the decisions that allow the business to continue. Keeping electricity, water, purchasing merchandise, paying employees allows the business to continue into next week. Not paying NIB doesn't necessarily result in your business closing. Asked any employee if they prefer their salary to be payed or NIB and the response will be salary.
