Then i am penalized because governments for the last 30 odd years have not had the will power to do the right thing by BEC. I've always thought there will come a day when the riots we see all over the world will come to Bay, seems to be getting closer and closer to that day.

And this shows how jokey we are. Yes its only $582.40 but if it shouldn't have been charged then why is the only penalty only that she has to pay it (and not sure if i believe that). If it is against the rules then the appropriate punishment should apply. If its not against the rules then nothing should happen.

It all depends whats in the deal that was signed with these entities. If there is nothing in it that says they must have the airport working etc then there is nothing the Government can do. Hopefully Government will be smart (unlikely) and at least say give it to us for free and we will then fix it up, and if you don't we will just build a new one on crown land. As you can be sure we will end up buying it for $X million and then putting in the other $20-40 million to rebuild which will end up being more then just building a completely new one)

All good i am sure, but surely it is still better to not pay and then wait for the next amnesty to consider paying with no penalties. Or just become connected then you won't have to pay.

Most businesses will have a use it or lose it policy. This is what any normal company would do. If a persons job can't be done by someone else while they are on vacation then there is something wrong with that business.

If those superyachts struggle to pay $2,000 a year to come here, perhaps they should get a smaller boat.

Maybe in realtors charged less on their commission (6 and 10%) we would see more affordable housing. But of course not

Of course it hit a delay, nothing done in this country is done on time. Just added waste and time on a report that Government already knows it won't act on. They will be able to file it away in the draw with all the other reports they have been given to make this country better but choose not to listen to as they can't seem to work out how to make it benefit them even more.

Does this mean they will actually do their jobs and we can expect to be served in a reasonable time frame. I wish all unions went on work to rule, as then a lot of things might work over here.
