Brave needs to stay quiet. He was the Minster of Works for the last Government and knew these problems were coming to a head and did nothing. He's just as useless as this Government and BPL. Time for Government to give up on BPL and let some foreign company take over with their workers. What we have now ain't working.
I agree with eh above, however a couple of points. The terminal is still Bahamian soil, and not everyone who shops there is going to the US as the staff can also shop there. Simple fix is to do as advised and have the customers show their tickets to prove they are going and if thats a worry then have either the goods sent to the plane (as they do in some areas of the US) or have staff have to show their ticket when leaving the secure facility to show they have paid VAT.
What happens if the AirBnB is owned by a foreigner? Or when homes are bought by wealthy Bahamains to make more money thereby putting the cost of a house higher making it less likely for a normal Bahamian to be able to afford. I like the idea of AirBnB but i don't think people look at all the good and bad that it brings and I am not sure it would be great to have thousands of homes in Nassau only being occupied by Tourists.
Just Walk down Bay Street, those foreign companies can do whatever they like and no one will stop them. Many things they do are against he law and there is nothing. Plenty police downtown, but they must have been told to leave those people alone.
***While acknowledging that the Minnis administration cannot interfere in a private sale,*** Thats all this article needed to say. Just wasted a lot of ink on nothingness.
The best thing they did was sell it. Of course the union wants it bought back, that way they can always keep themselves living the nice life. If the union was so sure of BTC's potential why don't they just buy it? They won't of course as they know they would then lose money.

Maybe all those who may have bid already know who the Government is going to give it to (this is a guess), as such why waste the time.
