All Cabinet members do is look at a map and see where is available land they can build on. They have no care in the world if its actually usable. Same with Minnis and his middle class community. Both these areas are prone to flooding. To stop the flooding will cost a large amount extra and will need to be maintained. So if this goes ahead expect more flooding in the area. We can then call it Darville's Puddle to remind those whose decision it was
Legit or not the person should be arrested for damage. Sounds like they haven't even tried to go to court over it but punish all who live in the area. They should name the person too
Thats right Birdie. Make sure the press only asks questions you like. Although i agree Mr. Kemps question and wording is not respectful, it is a question that should be asked (though in a different manner). Why should the press believe what is being said if a number of times it turns out to be wrong (either the person speaking misspoke or they lied). Of course it is more important that people speak in deferential tones then ask any questions which might be hard to answer.
Hasn't this always been the case? I seem to remember people pointing out the charter that had the shark attack victim from Green Cay was foreign owned when it shouldn't have been. Anyway like all items it sounds good, but they won't enforce it so who cares.
Some oppose due to the location next to them. however a large number oppose as there has been no study shown how this location makes sense. Why not expand PMH and use the land there (using a multi storey car park and maybe Collins house). If the studies show that this is the best location then so be it. However they have not released the studies, just saying that it is the best and we should not think of anything else. i am surprised the letter writer is so quick to accept what they are told rather then ask for the evidence.
The Government would not earn those taxes. The landlord will price that into their rent. I understand what you are saying, however this is government giving up on their job. They have a whole maintenance department, if they don't do what they are meant to they should be fired. But of course that never happens. So us the taxpayers will have to pay. And the above way is twice, once in rent to the landlord and then secondly in keeping a maintenance department going who does nothing.
Why don't they just admit that their plans are basically a cross your fingers and hope. There has been no maintenance, no planning for what is to come, no nothing. This has been done by successive boards and Governments . just a bunch of highly paid people doing nothing and then claiming its not their fault. As always they are useless.
