Whilst eliminating rats may be hard, you don't stop trying. It seems that this is just another indication of the lack of maintenance and prevention Government does on all buildings it owns. Of course it doesn't matter as its not them who will be paying for it. You only need to take a look at the number of run down buildings owned by Government to see that they don't care (Rodney and Clarence Bain buildings, old Royal Victoria, Post office etc), and whenever the problem gets too bad they talk about building a new building which should cost $5-10 million, but after all the generals get paid off will cost $40-50 million.

The murder rate in London is on average 171 per year. The population is 8 million. There were 154 murders in Lambeth over a 12 year period to 2012. This is the largest number of murders in a borough of London, population there is 327,000, so over a 12 year period they, with the a little less population, had very close to the most we have had in a year.
WE are a violent country and there is no way of saying otherwise.

There is only two ways that bridge does not make money. One is complete mismangement and the other theft. But yet again whoever has to work over there, live over there or go visit over there will end up paying for the financial mistakes of our supposed betters, and nothing will happen to those who have either made the mistakes or outright stolen.

I would have to disagree on the inexhaustible supply. As someone who has speared, fished and conched for 40 years there are definitely not as much as there used to be. If the population of Nassau only ate Fish there would be no fish for miles around.

When you get insurance you make the choice whether you want only a named drivers or anyone who can drive. If you go with anyone then it costs more. more people only have named which would be themselves and wife or husband. You cant blame the insurance company on people choosing the cheapest option which means only certain people can drive your car

This is all about PLP trying to energise their base. They are still suffering from May 10th and are now trying to get their base going again for the election in 4 years. The vast majority of people don't care and most people no doubt think they are watching a bunch of spoiled kids when they see parliament in action. In the last parliament it was the FNM doing this stuff (i seem to remember Minnis being kicked out) this time its PLP next time who knows. Best thing would be for all out Parliamentarians to actual do whats best for the country instead of what they think will help them in 4 years.

Why not enforce the law and when a person is found driving without a license and or insurance then take the vehicle from them. Then give them 30 days to come in showing they have these items and if not sell the car. Use the money from selling the cars for the fund. Pretty soon you would have a sufficient fund and over time most people would make sure they have insurance. But no we shall continue as is and the honest people amongst us will have to suffer and pay additional fees should anything happen to them
