Dawes says...

Other countries don't have leaders who travel with nothing to show. We are more in debt now then ever, we can't pay students what we promised and plenty other people and firms, but hey lets take 30 of us to travel to the other side of the world for a fun trip.

Of course they won't write that off. If you are being told that you owe $350 million you will get whatever money you can. And even if you don't owe (which they say they don't) you would not write this off until the court has decided. Only people who work for Government and do not understand that you can't just expect taxpayers to continue to fund you would not understand this. This is one of the basic principles of doing business.

Dawes says...

Well we know who the Bishop answers to then, and like most of them it ain't the man upstairs.

Dawes says...

So we can get eggs at $3.79 from another country, doesn't that meant eh $15 million golden yoke project is another waste of money. Or are we going to be forced to spend more when we buy from them?

Dawes says...

These projects are always transformational, and then 10 years down the line you realize nothing much has changed for the Bahamians living there, just another area they can't go to.

Dawes says...

So if we have "“**record” half-year revenues of $1.44bn** " but also "**Recurrent expenditure on civil salaries, rents and goods/services rose by $192.2m, or almost $200m, to strike $1.619bn**" we truly are screwed.

Dawes says...

Of course it will be. They will spend the next month or so telling Bahamians how these rich foreigners (they may even throw in white as well to really have an impact) are not paying their fair share. Then once everyone is riled up they will do this. All along knowing that the Bahamas will not be getting anywhere near what they should on the mooring deal.
The fact is there should be mooring spots that are paid for. These should go to each island district so they can fund local items. Not to a connected person so they can live large.

Dawes says...

Thats why they should allow all people to have guns, some people are going to break the law unless they put this in place.

Dawes says...

Of course it is not needed. If that was done how could a connected person win.

Dawes says...

Lol a cease order whilst they work out how to spin it to make it look like a benefit for Bahamas.
