Isn't this what BPL is doing down here? Which Government says is needed for BPL to survive. So if Government says this is wrong can they also stop the BPL changes.

Did URCA do anything to stop any of the increases that BPL had in the last few years. No, they didn't even investigate it. I assume that is because BPL is basically Government so they don't touch that. URCA is just a cushy job for those connected who will never actually do what they are supposed to unless told by government.

Of course we are broke. Every $1 they get they spend and then some. At no point has there been any attempt to rein in the spending, rather they continue to spend as though it is a bottomless pit. We are meant to be doing better then ever before, and yet that is still not enough. We going to need plenty help with there is an economic downtown (which there will be one day) as we have no plan B.

So they made this loss even after having a huge increase in fuel surcharge. Man just when i think that can't be any more useless they go and prove me wrong.

Maybe they had negative retained earnings after COVID as they had to operate with no income and still bills. The upturn in tourists came late 2021 early 2022 so June 30 2022 still had those loss making months to deal with. Of course they could also be run to make as little profit as possible in normal times so the parent company makes the most.
Based on the above, although i am loathe to agree with them it seems Government maybe right. Will be interesting to see the outcome.
