If the UK were smart they would form the reparation's around giving help to the countries affected. Maybe say that for the next 30 years they will spend X Billion a year on education in these countries. This would then help the countries in the long term. Not sure that they can work out how to pay people actual money, due to the complexity. How it would work, as there will be some who are only descended from slaves brought here, but many who are descended from salves and slave owners, are people to get a % based on their descent or will it just be X amount to each person in the country, in which case salve owners would benefit. Hopefully something will be worked out which will help deal with these issues.
They don't need to raise it to 15%, with all the inflation they will be bringing in a lot more money then expected. Now if they can stop their costs rising as much they will be up.
Maybe learn about how our parliamentary system works. Then you will understand. The opposition can't stop him from speaking, he is a duly elected MP and therefore allowed to speak.
Said it before, next time the country asks for help don't bother. Not worth the hassle. Let the Government deal with it. Sure it will take a lot longer to come but hey at least you won't have to listen to all this.
Isn't it obvious, once the right deals have been struck this will get the go ahead. There are no planning laws over here, just obstacles that need deals arranged for the projects to go ahead.
I strongly recommend all the NGO's to just stop and leave it up to the Govt social services to deal with. If the Government has information on illegal items then take action. If all they do is talk but no action then chances are nothing illegal happened. But what's the point in volunteering and helping (and donating as a large amount of the money in the food task force was donated) if you just get these sort of messages put out. Leave it to Government going forward as they are always able to do the right thing without wasting money.
The damage PLP did to BEC in the early 2000 needs to be looked at. That was when BEC went form making money to being a loss making enterprise. It has never recovered since then.
