Yet again our useless enforcement of the laws will continue the downward spiral. If they don't get charged i am sure they will be a couple marlins lighter.
The outsider had an agreement with our Government and the government is now trying to change it. If we want 75% agree those terms before the outsider starts. Don't change once they find the stuff.
I can understand it needs to be done, but why not move the utilities to the side of the road when doing it, so if there are any issues you don't have to dig the road up to fix it?
Mr Allen should look at all the tour boats that go to green cay to show the tourists the turtles. He may then realized that many Bahamains are benefitting from this. A lot more then those who used to eat Turtle. Mind you if he set up a farm and only sold farm raised turtle meat I wouldn't have a problem with that. I just think its better to have turtles in our waters.
Why not make it easy and say Govt gets 75% after costs have been taken out. That way all make money, and all costs paid. Otherwise let Govt pay for the exploration and then we can keep 100% . Of course that's as long as we find something. If we don't then we are millions out of pocket and will wish we had kept the formula at 25% for Govt.
Over here we have had two sitting MP's charged, Wilbert Moss in 1989 and Bill Cartwright in 1956. I believe that both resigned after being convicted. If thats the case then Gibson should stay until the court decides his fate.
