Welcome to the losers' bench! How's it feel sitting with the Dolfans? LOL! Kind of interested in the other 500 reasons thought - if you'd care to share!
They ARE incompetent. If they were smart, we wouldn't know we are being screwed. And the ignorant masses are happy with few crumbs thrown their way. So yes, incompetent, as are the ones who elected their sorry behinds. Of course, Greenslade is playing fool -- that's what he's being told to do. They could make all this go away if they were so damn smart -- they ARE incompetent, and we stupid Bahamians are happy to accept mediocrity and foolishness in place of excellence. Just look at our national grades!
And I'm sure you meant to say "reverse psychology", right? And they are right -- dumb as can be. Incompetent is the norm and everyone seems happy to settle for it -- even celebrate it.
Greenslade cannot possibly be serious? 100 pages plus of complaint is somehow not an official complaint? Investigate the complaint, or are you all too incompetent to do that?
As a Bahamian, I think the guide regulations are idiotic -- even Bahamian registered boats must have a guide if more than one person on board. It's ludicrous! Well done, Bahamas government, not only have you managed to get us downgraded to junk status, but you've also killed off a large segment of the tourism industry. Did you even stop to think how much these valuable visitors bring to the Bahamas by using hotels, restaurants, rental cars, etc.?
No one is complaining about having to get a license - in fact, that's pretty standard around the world. But the mandatory guide part is clearly intended as special interest and only benefits a few guides!
In fact, why doesn't the government spend some energy in enforcing the law as it sits. For years now, despite many complaints, local Bahamians have been netting bonefish on the flats to use for food or bait. This has long been illegal in the Bahamas, yet no one gives a damn about this. We're all too quick to blame the foreigners for our troubles, but I think we need to take a hard look at ourselves before we start pointing fingers.
There are reports that people are being bused in and being paid to attend the PLP march. Is this true? (This is not a Majority Rule day march - let's call it what it really is)
And you cannot possibly be serious to lump the WeMarch group in with the Majority Rule day event? These are TWO very different events -- one is for REAL equality and protesting against BAD government and the other is a PLP march -- which is why we have so many problems in our country to begin with!
“you only could break one damn bottle upside their head”.
Is Mr. Miller suggesting the use of violence against the march organizer and the participants? Surely an MP would be more responsible in his speech without giving the impression that he would like for PLP supporters to resort to violence. Or perhaps that's exactly what he's saying.
So when the "persuasion" of gang members to stop the march didn't work, Leslie suggests using a bottle upside his head? What kind of country are we living in? All the more reason to march.
