Would Mr. Dupuch care to comment on why Dr. Minnis said nothing about his "fishy" meetings with the now-infamous thugs Toggi and Bobo until he was questioned about his dealing with them? In a transparent and non-corrupt government, Mr. Dupuch and Dr. Minnis, Dr. Minnis should have refused the first meeting, and not continued to meet with them and get free fish! Sometimes it's just the little things, but little things mean big things. Hypocrisy doesn't look good on either of these gentlemen.

Branville hasn't "sold" anything. History will tell you that the reason the PLP won the last election is because the DNA siphoned off votes from the FNM, and despite winning the majority of votes, did not win the majority of seats.

So what to do this time around? Surely those esteemed FNM Council members and Dr. Minnis can with their combined IQ realize the FNM must somehow not allow the DNA vote to be used against them again.

Mrs. Butler-Turner and the other 6 MPs have surely figured this out - why can't the rest of the FNM see it. Or maybe the FNM just wants to hand the government back to the PLP in 2017...

Dear Tribune writer, in your article headline you say "Lloyd and D'Aguilar Back Minnis for FNM Leadership", and yet despite reading the article very carefully, I could only find that Mr. D'Aguilar stated the following -- "Mr D’Aguilar said he still believed the FNM is the better alternative to the failed PLP. He said he will refuse to take a side in this battle, but instead will remain neutral as a member of the FNM.

Please explain how you manage to contradict yourself between the headline and the article? No where does Mr. D'Aguilar say he supports Minnis -- in fact, you write that he "will refuse to take a side in this battle, but instead will remain neutral as a member of the FNM."

Sloppy writing and editing is getting more and more common with The Tribune these days -- which is why I gave up reading The Guardian!

If the FNM and DNA vote can be consolidated against the PLP, the PLP have every reason to be afraid. Very afraid. And let's not even count those former PLPs who have seen the light and won't vote for that band of corrupt criminals again.

Loretta is leader of the Opposition in the House of Assembly. She is now the official representative for the Opposition (that is, the FNM in case you're not following) She can appoint anyone she damn well pleases and does not need anyone's permission to do so. (though I'm sure she's consulted the other MPs, who are, incidentally, duly elected representatives of the people in the HOA)

The other MPs who also signed the letter to oust Minnis from being the Leader of the Opposition, means that of the 10 seats, 70% of them do NOT support Minnis. That should be a clue for Minnis to do the honourable thing and resign. Of course, his pea brain and over sized ego will not permit this, which is why we're in this mess to begin with.
