The world and The Bahamas, in particular, was still a mans world, the women's lib movement of the 1960's was just baring fruit.
We have since signed up to many international treaties and conventions and the proposed amendments are part of our commitments to those agreements.
It is never an easy path at immigration. They will sit on the application for 10 years or so and take a look at it and then put it away for another 10 years or so.
And we wonder why our economy is so bad.

Whoever wins the next election is going to have to govern for the benefit of the Nation and make very, very hard decisions. We have left the rot for so long.
There will be many who will be disgruntled as no one, especially us Bahamians, likes change, but change we must. There will be protests and people in the streets.
