Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? We cannot condemn someone until after a fair trial people. We must not allow our judgment of those accused to be clouded by the high crime rate in the Bahamas. Every case should be looked at individually.

Well said.

This is an excellent suggestion. I hope the young people who get to read this take heed.

I agree that the FNM and PLP are both incapable of taking this country to the next level. But to put the FNM in the same category as the PLP is a fallacy. No matter how you put it, Ingraham was a worker. You can call the man a dictator or whatever. The fact is he was not afraid to make decisions. I can't respect no leader who always ducking and dodging or is always too tired to respond to critical concerns of the people. BE A MAN and face the music!!!

Well Ed Fields had the right idea with the "We the People" group. Whatever happened to that anyway?

LOL. Man you like to harp on about this makin children ting na. Why don’t we just form a coalition called OP or “Operation Pikinini”- We will invite surgeons from all over the world to come to the Bahamas during their vacation to tie off females and vasectomize the males so that they could stop having these dam children faster than the GDP could grow. LOL. I am just kidding. You are right though. As your user name dictates, you seem like a concerned citizen. I say start a campaign and develop a website to educate people about this problem. Go to high schools and hammer it home that the many children that are born and grow up in these broken homes are a large part of the crime problem in the Bahamas. I believe all of the suggestions mentioned here, can make the Bahamas a better placed if applied correctly. But I say, why wait on the government to do it?

Agree with all of your suggestions. I would also say enforce the laws against petty crimes such as "jumping" red lights and littering etc. If people continue to show no respect for each other and their country then they shouldn't be able to parade around the streets of the Bahamas freely or mix with decent citizens.

Because that is just the way the PLP ( People's Lazy Party) rolls.

Not really doomed banker. In my opinion, the majority of the comments here show invaluable insight into this discussion: So this illustrates that we do have some highly intelligent Bahamians. But on the other hand, the majority of Bahamians do think like John: Shoots! So we are doomed. This religion thing really gat us all twisted. Respect each other and follow the laws of society and everything would be grand.
