Then why is Snake running around town begging the banks to fund his monopolistic acquisition of our nation's energy sector rather than creating a public company to raise the necessary funds? Could it be because most Bahamians are now either afraid or smart enough not to invest any of their hard earned money in the securities of any kind of public enterprise controlled by Snake and/or Tony Ferguson?

Taxpayers were forced by government to bail out Bank of The Bahamas (BoB) after all of the corrupt lending to government officials and their cronies that occurred while Paul McWeeney was its managing director.

And now the cunning and conniving Snake is sucking up to BoB and the other commercial banks for millions and millions of dollars of high risk loans to fund his 'theft' of our nation's entire energy sector without putting any of his own great personal wealth at risk.

The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) learned its lesson the hard way when it funded Snake's dubious real estate development projects in South Eleuthera. RBC, then managed by Ross McDonald, quickly found itself forced by Snake to become a stakeholder rather than a lender in his development activities much to the dismay of RBC's executive suite in Toronto. RBC ended up bearing significant costs and losses that should have been entirely borne by the devious Snake.

And just wait until most Bahamians find they can no longer afford to pay their light bills.

Whether a Haitian is given Bahamian citizenship is a matter our own nation alone has the exclusive right to determine.

I suspect you may be too young to remember the tranquil Bahamian way of life so many of us were able to live, even the poorest of us well before majority rule. And back then many of us were taught to have and show common decency and respect for one another, thanks in great part to being proud Bahamians with a good upbringing and so much more than a D- education. Our corrupt political leaders have taken most of this away from us.

Snake and Anthony Ferguson have all along been manipulating the financially illiterate Davis led PLP government into allowing a take-over of our nation's energy sector under a deviously designed scheme whereby the lion's share of the potential profits will go to them with the Bahamian financial system and taxpayers underwriting most of the significant potential losses.

In other words, Snake and his cabal of marauders want all the potential rewards associated with monopolistic control of our nation's energy sector, while at the same time placing our nation's commercial banks and taxpayers at even greater risk of potentially unbearable significant costs and losses tied to the government's failed energy policies over many decades. Small wonder Snake was bellowing accolades about the turn-around of Bank of The Bahamas earlier this week - he knows it's now finally ripe for another good raping!

I suspect the local commercial banks will come to wish they had left their excess liquidity invested in short-term debt instruments issued by the Central Bank which will now have to print even more Bahamian fiat currency to fund the government's many other financial needs tied to its bloated headcount and payroll.

Yup, the insatiably greedy, cunning, conniving, devious and most corrupt Snake has all along been jockeying for a "heads I win, tails you lose" take-over of our nation's entire energy sector.

It would seem the well-publicized sexual assault charge made against Charles Sealy III back in May of this year has left Charles Sealy II ripe for the picking by this most corrupt Davis led PLP government.

You only have to look at parts of Atholl Island and Rose Island today to understand the ongoing environmental destruction of so many of the Exuma Islands.
