They are making a fortune for themselves by getting our sun, sand and sea free of charge while contributing nothing to out domestic economy. But I suppose you think that is fair to the many poor and struggling Bahamian families who can no longer afford essentials like food, medicine, etc.

It seems Bowe has not learned that decades of unchecked waste, fraud and outright theft by corrupt governments is antithetical to the caring kind of progressive social welfare state he still likes to dream about.

The very flawed policies of corrupt and incompetent governments, whether PLP or FNM led, have been disguised as being progessive but in fact have been anything but that. The progressive wolves in sheeps clothing have even managed o convince themselves that an unsustainably bloated and extremely costly but unproductive public sector workforce is good for our nation. Of course, nothing could be further from the truth.

The ever dwindling portion of our domestic economy attributable to the private sector has been all but sucked completely dry while a relatively small group of the corrupt political elite, and their favoured cronies and financial-backers, have amassed unimaginable wealth by selling-off our nation's most valuable assets to foreign marauders willing to partner with them.

Is Bowe now going to join the line of those who periodically beg with tongue in cheek for their fellow suffering Bahamians rather than addressing the real problems? Our corrupt PM Davis likes to stand at the front of that line with his cup in hand.

> Explaining that the energy generated will be “specific and exclusive” to Nassau Cruise Port’s operations, with no excess sold back to Bahamas Power & Light’s (BPL) grid or its own retail and food and beverage vendors, he added that the project will “cut out any carbon emissions and footprint.

Yup, corrupt Micael Maura has no difficulty readily admitting that when it comes to investments made in the Bahamas by the port and/or cruise lines, most (if not all) of the resulting profits and benefits are for them with little or nothing for the Bahamian people.

And we have our unjustly enriched corrupt political leaders to thank for the raping, pillaging and plundering of nation by a small group of extremely corrupt and insatiably greedy Bahamians and their equally corrupt and greedy foreign partners.

Meanwhile we are choking on the shiit, chemicals and other pollution the cruise line industry continues to bring to our shores which has been greatly exacerbated by the port expansion having an environmentally devastating impact on the flow of water through Nassau Harbour and along the shoreline areas to the west of the port. And these charlatans know just who to go to whenever they are told they need to "buy" a favouable environmental impact study to provide "cover" for their wrongdoing.

> ".........now only awaiting a Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority ((URCA) permit to proceed...."

> “We have imported enough equipment for about 1.5 MW of solar for our operations at the port,” the Nassau Cruise Port chief told Tribune Business. “We have received all of the approvals from the Ministry of Works, and then we had to go through URCA for their review and approval, which we have received. We’re just waiting to finalise the permit and the fee we have to send in this week.

Just carefully read what was said here by the very corrupt Michael Maura. It seems the foreign shareholders controlling NCP and their Bahamian partners (with Tony Ferguson of CFAL among them) have about as little respect for URCA statutory authority as do the cabal of BPL marauders led by Snake and, of course, Tony Ferguson.

> FREE National Movement (FNM) incumbent parliamentarians are not guaranteed a nomination in the next general election, FNM chairman Dr Duane Sands said yesterday, adding that every potential candidate will undergo a selection process.

This politically tone deaf and most foolish man is basically saying the voice of the voters in a constituency does not matter to those who control the FNM party.

> The interactive sessions will cover topics such as history, the FNM’s values, principles of governance, and politics.

Forget these most ridiculous interactive sessions that tend to favour more lawyers or doctors! This daft doctor and the others who govern the administrative apparatus of the FNM party fail to appreciate that what our country needs most is a slate of electable political candidates of known integrity who are possessed of a demonstrated history of both business and common sense. The last thing our nation needs is more lawyers or doctors in parliament, especially of the kind that owe their stature within the FNM party to cronyism or, even worse, nepotism.

> Dr Sands said local and international agencies will vet participants to assess their fitness to serve in the House of Assembly and represent the FNM.

Is Sands for real....did he really say "international agencies"??!!! Who the hell is he talking about here. Since when did our nation, and more specifically the FNM party, start allowing outside foreign agencies to have a say and sway in who the Bahamian people can and cannot vote for?!!!

> “We have a strict non-disclosure approach, and so I am not minded to tell you who has participated to date, nor am I likely to tell you,” he said. “Understand that we are dealing with a very spiteful and vindictive administration, and there are persons who could lose their job, people who would find themselves victimised, and so I’m not going to go down a slippery slope.”

Talk about a lame and bullshiit excuse for keeping all of the skullduggery and underhandedness that now goes on at the executive committees and central council away from the eyes and ears of the party faithful who truly deserve some degree of transparency in the candidate selection process.

Sands has been and continues to prove himself to be a dismal failure as Chairman of the FNM party. And this is one of the main reasons why so many of us are now praying for many more independent candidates to throw their hat into the political ring across all constituencies.

Bottom line: When it comes to an abundance of incompetence and corruption, both the PLP and FNM governments alike really take not only the cake, but also the icing, the crumbs, and everything else, leaving nothing but abject misery and suffering for the many struggling Bahamians today. Enough is enough!!!
