The liquidators should not be compensated for all of the time they have wasted to date in trying to locate and/or re-construct accounting records from FTX/Alameda internally generated documentation that either never existed or was known to be suspect at best even where it did exist. Too many bad decisions prejudicial to the interests of the creditors were made early on.
The extremely greedy port operators and even more greedy cruise ship operators are loathe to pay our nation anywhere near the level of taxes they should be paying. They've been greatly profiting off of the closed (all for them) economic system they have created for themselves with a helping hand from our pro-foreigner, anti-Bahamian government.
LMAO. 11% over 5 years is really pathetic given that the annually rate of inflation in the Bahamas is more than 12%, and that's each and every year. Darrin Woods obviously thinks the union leaders and union members are financially dumb as dumb can be. May be he's right!
I remember when it would cost $100 to drive through these occasional dragnet stops without receiving a citation. Now it only costs $50. One of the few things going in the opposite direction of inflation because our police, like so many of us, are struggling to feed themselves and their families.
Few are more responsible for exacerbating the economic mess our country is in today than this educated arsehole. Halkitis truly believes government has the right to claim and spend as it sees fit every dollar we have in our bank account, wallet or pocket.
You will never hear this clown say government is much too big and much too wasteful. His motto is: don't tax the very wealthy, but everyone else right down to their very last dollar.
In almost every state in the U.S. a business can open a bank account online in mere minutes by simply uploading to the bank copies of the required signed forms.
The super wealthy always seem to get immediate access to and special treatment from our court system while the rest of us wait forever for our own legal matters to be heard. And to think it is us poor taxpayers who are being taxed to death to help pay for the courts who are always made to suffer the denial of justice by its great delay to accommodate the hearing of the legal skirmishes of the super wealthy. CJ Winder's constant referral in his ruling to Butch's first wife by her first name Cheryl really tells all there is to tell about the very uneven scale of justice in our country.
Sebas Bastian and Franky Wilson have graciously agreed to pay all of the taxes the IMF would like to see paid by the top 10% of the earners in our country. And the Symonette Family, not to be out done, have generously agreed to pay on top of that a special one-off wealth tax equal to one-third of their total global wealth.
Meanwhile, Vomit Christie, Bag Man Bethel, and Allyson Maynard-gibson a/k/a The Wicked Witch of The West are all in Hong Kong trying to hide their wealth from the IMF. LOL
