Hopefully this means they will now work together as a uniformed team. Minnis doesn't need to fear Loretta. Put her in the foreground as she presents well. I think if they set themselves up in a way to be transparent and operate with integrity, they will gain the trust of the people. At the end of the day what is the alternative? We need these people on one accord working to upright this sinking ship of an economy, the albatross of a possible financial devaluation, increase in crime, underperforming educational system. We have to pray that we vote for the best person in our constituency. We must then hold their feet to the fire. We must demand transparency from our leaders. We must picket, strike, sign petitions and lobby to change legislature and recall ineffective politicians. We are knocking Minnis and even Loretta like there is some better alternative. I was never FNM or PLP but for who would probably do as they proclaimed. The PLP have shown they are not interested in the people but only for what they can get for themselves, family and friends. I am tired off being lied to. Blatantly lied to. Well that's my 5 cents.
I find it hard to believe that this company did not perform it's due diligence before purchasing BEC. If you are going to purchase a used car you would carry a mechanic. These people did not travel to the islands and examine the equipment? If they did not examine the equipment and performed a proper cost analysis and possible return on investment, then they are quite foolish.
I think no electricity for over 15 hours constitutes more than "much longer periods without supply." BPL is also responsible for the loss of many domestic and commercial electronic devices. Not only do we have to contend with hours of loss of electricity, but the electricity constantly dips or goes off and comes on numerous times. Get it together. Upgrade your infrastructure, switch to solar power, bring in persons who know how to maintain the equipment.
Didn't the company come in and examine what they were purchasing? Yes they inherited a mess but should have done a proper cost analysis to find out if it was worth purchasing. With that being said Mr Leslie Miller should have nothing to say. I think he is forgetting that he is a rich person and he and his family members were delinquent. in fact delinquent is a grave understatement. If there is to be someone carrying BPL to task, it cannot be Mr. Miller. His hands are too dirty. Now go spend your time and efforts on the company you are actually responsible for until it is sold to a foreign based company also.
Thank you I was saying the same thing. We cannot get so passionate that we abandon common sense. Just sinking the boat can have a harmful impact on the sea life. Simply confiscate the vessel and auction it back to the public dirt cheap. Use any skiff or fast boats that accompany it to be used by our own Defense Force or such. Don't forget to of course fine the captain and crew and possibly lock them up.
Do we now repossess this vessel and send it to auction or such? Or do we simply charge them a fine and give them their vessel and wait to repeat the cycle, if we are fortunate to recapture them?
Wrong and strong. If you were so concerned with appearances, either let her know she was being recorded, have the meeting around witnesses or in a public place. He is a prime example of what is wrong with this country. People do as they feel and do not see the harm in hurting another person. I wouldn't vote for him regardless of the political party he is in.
