Sheeprunner when you put it like that, it is very scary. I pray that is not how his constituents feel, not only on this topic at hand but pertaining to many of the stuff that he says. If that is the type of people we elect to speak for us then we are in trouble.

I understand what each of you is saying. I am just surprised at the level people go to nowadays. I know what it is to come out of a work meeting and voice recordings of the meeting have been sent all over the place. If they are discussing party business then it should stay in that group. I pray that whomever is doing this receives some penalty if only a suspension. Goodness if in a party we cannot keep our in house business secret, how can we trust you with the country's business. It makes the whole party look very unprofessional and appear like a bunch of jealous quarreling young girls. Start to discipline your members as this is not some secret hacker doing this, this is one of the same person's involved in the group email. Its a blessing and a curse that newspaper cannot reveal their sources.

So what will be done with Mr. Miller? How often will he be allowed in the Media to make a mockery, I meant continued mockery of his party and our country in general? I appreciate his ability to be a straight shooter but he throws any body under the bus whether it be the former BEC, jokes about domestic violence and now this. I am sure there are countless other infractions he has committed. Is there no accountability regardless of the party he is affiliated with? Should he not be made to apologize, fined and/or sat down for a while (not to compare our government to a basketball game)? By the way this is not a tv show where you can place a disclaimer saying the views expressed are not that of the station. If he speaks, he speaks as the voice of his party. The beliefs expressed are those of his party. If not then please send him to sensitivity training or something. He is proud to call himself a potcake but sometimes pedigree needs to be displayed, especially with so many persons watching. Mr. Miller's beliefs are not mine either.

Where does one start pertaining to such an article? First this man needs to have his medication adjusted. He has valid points but he has them thrown in with so much ignorance and hate. Nonetheless it is his opinion. Regardless of a person's sexual orientation, he or she should be treated with respect and not shipped off to a deserted island. Yes I am concerned about what kind of country and world my child will face when he becomes an adult. I can only train him in the way he should go and teach him to respect other persons regardless of how much he may disagree with their choices. At the end of the day the person who sleeps with someone of the same sex is not going to a hotter hell than the married folks sleeping with someone that is not his or her spouse. Yes certain sins the Bible calls an abomination, but at the end of the day all sin will get us to hell. Mr. Miller, just like the rest of us, need to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, before we are so quick to call for The Rapture. Some of us may be shocked to find ourselves in the same hell has many of these persons who we feel are less than us. I love you doesn't mean yes do what ever you want. It simply means I won't discriminate against you but you will know that I am not ok with your lifestyle. The same way I will let anyone who is in error know they are in error. I am not without sin so I cannot cast the first stone. My being content to live as the gender I was born into and marry someone of the opposite sex doesn't absolved me of the other sins I have committed. Be careful Mr. Miller. This is not something someone in your position wants to give out to the world even if it is how you feel. I agree I do not need to know who anyone is sleeping with whether it be a heterosexual or homosexual relationship or whatever. If you are two consenting adults God will deal with you as he also will deal with me.

I totally agree. I have stayed in resorts here in The Bahamas that were exorbitant. Then travelled abroad and stayed at lovelier resorts for a fraction of the price. On the Out Islands it is hard to find a hotel for a night away. I do not see the point of the rooms being so expensive, then added to that is numerous taxes and fees and still the bell man, housekeeper, and wait staff have to be tipped. I stayed at an all inclusive in Nassau about 2 months ago. I was told they had no valet parking and for some reason the security wouldn't let me park in the parking area near the hotel ( although I saw other rental cars like mine in there), so I had to park well across the street and tote my bag with me. No the fruit punch I received when I managed to get my bag and myself up the hill did not make up for my displeasure. Bear in mind this place was over $200 a night. Price the rooms properly and we will have numerous tourists and locals alike staying at these hotels even in the off season.

This gentleman has stated some very interesting and clear cases of corruption. He further went on to add certain measures that should be taken. It is rather unfortunate that when blatant cases of fraud and theft is brought to the foreground, nothing is done. The only thing we do is transfer certain individuals with bad track records to another Ministry. We need checks and balances put into place, but they are useless without legislation on the books that calls for the prosecuting of these individuals. Unfortunately many of the lower level thieves may be caught while the persons in charge manage to continue stealing without being punished. It is a step in the right direction that so much light is now being shed on the level of corruption in our government. We need to start sending high level government employees as well as Ministers to jail for stealing and corruption. They are not the law nor above it. It is rather unfortunate that we only have news reporters in this country instead of investigative journalists. Then again we can not blame the reporters who may uncover corruption but are not allowed to report on it for whatever reason.

I agree Economist as I have mentioned in prior posts that I personally have a step child who has a foreign mother. My husband, her father is a Bahamian but the child has never been considered one. These persons only know The Bahamas as home and did not enter this country illegally nor their forefathers. I am glad we are taking measures to address this moving forward.

Actually @ WMTS the fact that your comment was misconstrued by more than one person, shows that you clearly did not explain yourself. Now that you have either backpedalled or taken the time to elaborate, I can understand your point better although it is one not brought to the table during this referendum. Also keep your juvenile name calling to yourself as we are all adults on this site, and are entitled to our opinions and can express them freely, until a referendum is voted on saying we can't.. Thank you.

So he should just stick to one topic even though on a daily basis new issues arise? I agree he should try and bring closure or conclude a matter. Nonetheless this should not stop him or any Opposition leader from discussing and trying to bring to light any matter which concerns the public.
