We don't have enough teachers period. We're to small of a nation to not hire foreigners for specialized positions. The government just needs to make sure Bahamians get training from foreign specialist and that Foreigners are only given work in sectors with talent shortages.

Or if you want the government can force you to become a teacher and you'll teach where they decide

It needs regulation. If they do it without any foresight it'll be a dumpster fire. People will rush to grow hemp on any piece of land as well as rushing to get a license. There will have to be an effective tax on returns from the industry and it will have to be set up so that everyone and their Grammy doesn't "receive" weed for free or else they wont make a good profit margins.

Why is the Cabinet in control of the civil service retirement. Police commissioners should be elected like in the UK.

Not with a global inflation crisis. the government would do better by introducing a progressive tax for capital rather then spreading money out to more people making inflation worse.

We live in an archipelagic nation, hit with hurricanes, and poor in agriculture/terrain. How is it we allow ourselves to not know how to swim. We should be masters of swimming and sailing.

This is the way our ancestors made a living primarily. Unfortunately the average Bahamian today would starve from lack of environmental awareness and common sense of where our country is.

We need to restore our national survival mindset and the government needs to to encourage all children to learn to swim and enroll in programs making it national policy.

The Island is flat, not suitable for development. If your buildings get destroyed all the time you cant make a stable economy/industry. Abaco, Andros, Eleuthera, Exuma, and even Inagua have a clearer direction.

The only thing the island looks suitable for is logging and marine farming.
