Aye Aye Aye One thing about the first world that I don't get is how they don't ask question when they should and ask a bunch a questions when they shouldn't. Most puzzling of all is how they'll call sheet in the wind a ghost.(Make a big thing out of nothing or make stories)

Well the government cant control the fuel prices, so nothing could be done about that except switching to more renewable energy or public transport

I find it interesting that this article only as k the opinions of business owners not workers when it comes to the Disney project. Its all good and all that these owners feel happy bout the project but they aint working there, they too busy running their business to really know.

If there is someone who worked there could explain why that what make more sense and be more useful in terms of information. I'm, just seeing people run on a bout work experience which is a good thing, however irrelevant to the specific issue. I mean this is Disney they are certainly not struggling to make money nor are they paying large tax to our government.

When you have a government that refuses the signs to be self sufficient, treating it like a game or joke, you get this.

Instead of focusing on locally produced agricultural product we spent decades destroying it, instead of investment in renewable energy(solar) we continue to pay our high fuel bill, and instead of constructing a public transport system on this tiny island, we required everyone to travel by car with no alternative.

Self sufficiency is important, only so long till America or China says no food we need it for ourselves or before Americans and the Middle East start hogging oil/gas.

There is only 2 Caribbean countries that produce oil Trinidad and Guyana. This region needs to use technology and get away from this self entrapment quickly.

The reason downtown ceased being lively is because there is no demand to shop there anymore. No one lives downtown, no useful everyday goods are sold, and there isn't good access (good public transit or parking)

Instead of building stores for no one and ripping down historical buildings to be replaced by nothing lets understand the problem of why Bay Street became degradant. Not reminiscent about how there once was this and that shop.

Any weapons smugglers should get the noose because they are the key to this(Whether Foreign or Native). The ammo and weapons has to come from somewhere:
1. Government Port
2. Marinas/Canals
3.Airports
4.Customs is letting it in
5.rbpf/rbdf has a smuggler
6.Mailboats/Containers
7. Boat smuggling via Grand Bahama/Bimini
8. Night smuggling ops.

There are only so many people in this country and very few ways in.

This is strange because as a black Bahamian I was never concerned about any racial implication of the Food Drive Crisis. This article stretches' the situation and generalizes heavily quite about a white and black thing rather then whether wrong doing is done or not.
The PM and his crew may see things this way but I certainly didn't nor was I swayed by the PMs rabble rousing. And no I'm not an FNM supporter. It may be a difference in thought of my generation however as I'm of a younger generation.
