CCA should pay Bahamian contractors as was promised, many companies fell for the promise line: that "regardless: you will be paid for your work" I was told by senior CCA officials that the company (CCA) did not have a money issue so payments would be make if we stayed on when it was becoming clear that something was not right at BahaMar. ...I do understand that some companies did receive payments (whose companies that were called on to work at the POINTE project) ...they got paid off for work than at Bahamar. I do agree that CCA is playing a game and using the BahaMar issue as a cover not to pay its bills - and they know that this government would not pressure them to do so. Paying Bahamian Contractors should be a condition to continue projects in the Bahamas. My company which was one of the last remaining companies to stay on at Baha Mar, before the Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in a US Bankruptcy Court was announced, still has out-standings with CCA dating back to March 2015.

Many Bahamians including myself are sensing a dangerous and frightening insight into the minds of some of our politicians; whom many are now identifying as persons intoxicated with power. Seeking to create a legacy, majesties and greatness where none truly exist.
More chilling is the thought of some who have more loyalty to men above loyalty country and how power, greed and the thought of a lifelong failures as a politician can becomes a threat to our democracy.

this article quote's the provisional liquidators asking: suppliers to submit payment statements to them for services rendered between September 4 and October 30. Still there is no one saying how Bahamian Contractors will be paid **...patience running out!**

again Mr D’Aguilar is out of the loop, and would do well the pack up and forward on with the Izmirlians who will “rise up and go again”, but not in the Bahamas with its “sullied” investment reputation. And yes Mr. D'Aguilar, "as billionaires" the Izmirlians should pay their out-standings with Bahamas Contractors. The Izmirlians gave no regard to Bahamian Contractors who are owed millions for work completed on his project when they went through Chapter 11 filing ...and agreeing to additional work by Bahamian Contractor who went out - bought supplies and equipment - not knowing that the next day these same people were filing for Chapter 11.
You believe so much in the integrity and good will of these guys Dionisio, please have them pay their outstanding to Bahamians before sailing away with their "Billions"

On Sarkis to ‘rise and go again’

..its confusing that China Construction America (CCA) claims that it has no money to pay its out standings with "faithfully patient" Bahamian Contractors who provided service at the Baha Mar Project, **under assurances** of being paid, (now using the Baha Mar mess) as its excuse, or not offering an excuse at all to Contractors - while spending millions in the face of these same Bahamian Contractor, building the new Pointe Development on Bay Street.

...patience do go out, and sometimes violently.

...you must be an older female, I know many young foreign tourist (twit - Bahamas%girls%sex) who die for the lascivious display of young Bahamian females, and some that "pay top dollar" for an obnoxious night with these females ;) : but I do agree, it may disrupt some tourist.

there is no credibility in the words of our Prime Minister his AG and his Government. Bahamian contractors are out in the dark and apparently will be kept out in the dark. No one has made an effort to reach-out to Bahamians contractors to give an update on the situation where outstanding are owed. Its a wait and hope game ...but we have seen hope before and hope got us no where.

To make it clear for our Attorney General Ms. Allyson Maynard-Gibson - both Baha Mar and China Construction America (CCA) owes moneys to Bahamian Contractors.
I would expect that Bahamian Contractors can call on the AC's Office for legal direction considering these new developments.

On Baha Mar contractors must be ‘made whole’

There are silver linings in every misfortune and Baha Mar which was to become another No Go Zone in the Bahamas for Bahamians; where a combative and militarized security force had already exist. A group of young people and former police officers who were train to distrust and disrespect Black Bahamians?
Mr. Izmirlian or those advising him has craftily used old (Darwin and Lynch) techniques of “divide and conquer” - tactics to put hungry and angry young Bahamian against other Bahamians and country.
Thinking all Bahamians are nincompoops: we most read his (Izmirlian) statements and then we are expected to believe these statements are true; because it’s coming from Mr. Izmirlian:-
*(“The facts are straightforward. China Construction America failed to meet its promises to complete the resort on the timetables it set, and failed to meet its financial obligations to Baha Mar, engaging in reckless and self-serving actions at the expense of the project as it now seems to be doing as well at The Pointe)
The government of the Bahamas failed to meet its promises to Baha Mar, including making timely payments of monies it was obligated to pay Baha Mar. The result was a liquidity crunch last June that put Baha Mar at risk.)*
But the facts are clean Mr. Izmirlian: you, who quite conveniently and blatantly ignores that it is you (Baha Mar) and its board of director who has created the mess, and in a classic sociopath way you exonerates yourself and your board of directors of any and all culpability. - while **not once** mentioning how and when Bahamian contractors will be paid.
But there are those around Mr Izmirlian who will mislead this young man to his destruction, know quite well that the nincompoop factor those not apply to many in the Bahamas, a country of highly educated and well experience Black People. Lacking the experience, Mr. Izmirlian was misled by his board of directors – evident in the current state of (Baha Mar) his company.
This is not a new movie for The Bahamas where naive foreign investors are taken for a ride by self-serving people. My advice Mr. Izmirlian – fire your entire board of directors and start new.
