Sickening. Even if these people are fortunate enough to escape earthly punishment, God will give them what they deserve when it is time to go to their eternal home.
I have had about a dozen of my family members catch COVID, not a single one ended up in the hospital. Some were "asymptomatic". Not a single one of them had a shot.
It makes zero difference whether you take this crap or not, COVID seemingly effects everyone differently. Colin Powell is dead and the shots sure didn't stop Jesse Jackson from getting pretty mashed up when he caught COVID.
Unfortunately, critical thinking skills are in short supply worldwide.
Should have been free from the start. If the government wants to infringe on our constitutional right to freedom of movement, they should have to foot the bill.
Man in all his arrogance thinks that he can usurp the role of God and control the shifting of earth's climate. The climate has shifted for a lot longer than any of these people have been around. This is what happens when a society refuses to acknowledge the Most High.
How many reusable bags do you think these people are using? I seem to remember quite a few having plastic cups photoshopped out of their pictures to avoid exposing them for the giant hypocrites that they are. Funny how so many of them own beachfront property too if the sea levels rise as fast as they say that they do. Would be a pretty stupid investment if so, don't you think?
This is only going to end when the Americans put down their cheeseburgers and TV remotes and use that 2nd Amendment right that their ancestors left them.
The cattle need to get ready for their fourth shot!
The FNM really didn't care about poor people when they raised it to 12% a year after getting elected. I could understand raising it to 10, but I felt that 12% was too sharp. People were already struggling before, and raising it so steeply was not a help. People don't eat fire engine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Income tax would destroy the Bahamian economy overnight. I have lived abroad and paid it before. Having the government take 20% of a 20k per annum salary (which most Bahamians make) is a recipe for disaster.
Is it going to be residency based like most nations excluding the US? Wealthy Bahamians will just pick up their things and move. Expats who live here for residency purposes with money in Cayman or Panama will just move too.
Bahamian salaries have always been lower than US or Canadian ones in comparison, but that is offset by not having income taxed. 50k is basically lower middle class after taxes in Canada or the US (depending on specific locale of course, and whether it is US/CAD), but 50k in the Bahamas can get you a pretty good life.
I just don't see how taking income from people who are below the poverty line is going to fix this nation. In fact, it will make it worse. At some point we have to stop pissing away money.
Yes, an income tax will be brought in to "reduce the national debt". Family Island Bahamians will have to pay RPT to "reduce the national debt". Business owners will have to pay business license fees + a corporate rate to "reduce the national debt". Eventually we will have an unrealized capital gains tax brought in ala the US to "reduce the national debt" as well.
Most Bahamians just haven't figured out that "reduce the national debt" is a euphemism for "fill up the gravy train so that we can get a scoop".
If you don't laugh at what goes on in this country, you will cry. At this point, I really don't expect any better so I just take it in stride. Business as usual.

Is Davis off his meds? 25%? He would be lucky to stabilize it at this point. Proof is in the pudding, let's see what he does.
