"Two doctors here implied that it was literally impossible for Bahamian doctors to do any research! "
This phenomenon is well documented. There will be a Bahamian that has lived, studied, and worked abroad that can rightfully be considered knowledgeable in their field, but the government (and Bahamian society as a whole) will automatically discount anything that they have to say in favour of listening to some foreigner that has no credentials that is only looking to shake them down for some easy money.
The Minnis government was particularly horrible with this, they would get wide eyed anytime some "expert" from outside would dangle a shiny object in front of them.
Just curious as to whether these centers are obtaining legal consent from the parent/guardians of these young people not at the age of majority. Does anyone know?
Out of all the incompetence that we witnessed from 2017-21, I believe that Carl Bethel/the Office of the Attorney General has to take the cake. Literally lost every major case.
Global issue. Most places are dealing with supply chain issues and high inflation. Don't expect it to get better any time soon. Really is nothing you can do about it unless you are going to subsidize or give duty concessions on goods what aren't duty free.
Minnis defenders have to twist themselves into mental pretzels to support him. Minnis was a political dead man walking for a while now, and the FNM will be in opposition for this term as a price of not getting rid of him sooner.
Standard practice worldwide with regards to vacation is "use it or lose it". Sure, you can choose not to take it if you like, but it is not going to rollover into the next year. It baffles my mind that someone thought the ability to accumulate vacation time was a good idea when structuring these contracts. Our country is all about da gibs until there isn't anything left to gib out.
