This editorial is right on and nothing needs to be added. The jackasses who want to make it a racial issue are like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson who can accomplish nothing for their courntry except stirring up racial hatred.
When all the comments are over and done the jackass who is minister of immigration's comments will be most damaging to this country. He?/she?/shim? has only one agenda and that is to become prime minister and is playing into the hands of the ignorant who want to make it a racial matter. Little do they realize the importance a company like UBS is to us. I am sick and tired of these little tin gods who only want to control peoples lives and squeeze every last dollar out of Bahamians.
Tal Russell, what are you trying to get across with the above statement? I dont see where it is relevant to what The Prime Minister had to say nor does it relate to the crime problems in Nassau. Have you been down wind of someone smoking some wacky-tabacky or were you doing it yourself?
I spoke with someone in Abaco today who said the rumour in Marsh Harbour is that there was up to 5 persons who perished in the Mud/Pigeon Pea fire. The illegals do not want it to sound as bad as it really was.
Here we go once AGAIN the political bosses are bashing the opposition because they called a "Spade a Spade." It is high time to stop your political foolishness and attack the problem. Remember, "Nero fiddled while Rome burned." And when I think of burned I am reminded of the tragedy in one of the family islands on New Years eve where lives were lost in The slum of an illegal Haitian shanty town. Why is it that after such incidents the government of the day swears by their grandmas underwear that there will be no more buildings allowed. I will bet you 100 to 1 within three months not only will the homes lost be replaced but additional ones will be built. Read on FB that a volunteer fireman was attacked by some of the residents because he would not turn the hoses on their house instead of what he was doing. Will anyone be charged or deported for this incident? It is high time to round up the illegals and send them packing to their homeland.
