This is another act of "Beefing Up The Cookies' Tank in People's Time" where VAT was increased from 7.5% to 12% . Because it is no longer "The Cookies 'Jag in Hubert Ingraham Time" where there was NOT VAT, neither "The Cookies' Drum in Perry Christy Time" where everything started and collected vat for more than two years.
The fact of the matter is that Inagua is not longer the best kept secret in The Bahamas.
The best kept secret is : The Nearly $3.00 Millions Dollars/Day Collected by the government of The Bahamas only from vat and still nothing to show.
We are talking about billions of dollars slidined
mostly into a couple of well known local politicians' pockets under huge impunity. And we still have public safety challenges or concerns with security institutions lacking sufficient staff, proper ethics and approach to crime.

Ok.,independently of the victim's way of thinking,in this case a 20 years old male, named Jerry from Grand Bahamas, working at a local container port, full of life with the satisfaction of fulfilling his duties as a young man with the sense of belonging to a family, lovely mother, sister, cousin and so forth., his death is so sad and unacceptable.,everybody, including specially local Police Marine divission are called to do their part as liable, responsible individual to also comply their duties of reinforcing the enacted, current laws to make sure accident and so many other events like this, never ever happens again. The government with all law enforcement officers are the ones to be blamed for not doing their part of being vigilant and to monitoring inappropriate behavior and is the government responsibility to add enough laws enforcement officers to do so.
Absolutely nobody should buy a vehicle or any other kind of things that requires licence to operate. Outhere, there are a lot of youngsters, also adults, for years, driving cars without a driver license. We find a lot of fishermen as well, around the coastline cleaning fish and throwing bloody remaining into the water, making a hazardous conditions for innocent people to become victims of shark attacks while looking up for fun. A shark is able to smell blood from dozens of miles. This is a disaster in detriment of human life that requires urgent address.

It is very difficult to find unity without a sensible vision in the PLP's leadership. The current elected leader is just learning how to be a leader. One can't write the letter while riding the horse in the middle of a creek full of disturbed water. He needs to give himself more time in order to be successful for the next upcoming general elections. What he can do instead,is to ignite the idea of implementing political reform, especially, about the composition of Bahamian Parlament where at least Four Seats should be reserved for Emerging Leaders in order to procure better balance and dynamism in challenging the Prime Minister 's power in Parlament hence not to see what we see today : An Opposition with only four seats.
We need new faces, with new ideas and better standards of ethics as well as integrity in both PLP & FNM..

They already taxed the public on the pretext of paying the national external debt and rather than seen the mentioned debt reduced today,we only see it more inflated than ever before, and the borrowing never stop just to please the pockets of twenty plus keys people including all members of cabinet every four to five years, and sometimes the cycle repeat the same people again to be millionaires TWICE. All under big time impunity and adding more and more crime which is all the way down priority of the government to solve.
Mudda_Sick is all right : "All they do is to blow hot air out of their mouths taking about the same topics over & over again.

I publicly deplored the easy way some international financial institutions like IDB,physically present in The Bahamas, lend considerable amount of money to particulars-differents government entities just to beef up the "The Almighty External Debt" without any monitoring or supervision regarding tangible results or outcomes from those lendings. Recipients of huge lendings like BPL and Ministry of Environment so famous in "Nothing To Show" with zero liabilities whatsoever for obtaining Millions of dollars with not clear destiny, under big time impunity .

It doesn't have to be but it is always a lack of proper Policing with the right approach to a large bunch of different types of scenarios at different time of the day that facilitate the creation of multiple victims spread in a large amounts of neighborhoods. 24/7 Police Vigilance with a great program or police presence could cause a great impact on crime consequently minimising or reducing crime.

We should not waist our time talking about racism instead we should talk about human characters or behavior of public elected officials while in public office.
I totally agree with Mr. Albury and related melanin remarks.
We should be talking about world new order and ideas regarding finding solutions to the world immigration crisis under a global consensus where we could analyse the possibility to eliminate nationality and work it out only with place of origin without taking into account the color of the skin in any human which should not be illegal anywhere EXCEPT in your private property or home without your permission or consent.

Inexcusable scenarios of murder or crime.
We need more Police Patrol on the streets walking like anybody else, period.
Also in an apparent "Saturation
of Police officers wearing uniforms and a gun, exercising improvise checking point all over the place.

This is long stationary scenarios that is consistent with the lack of visible & obviously, invisible "On Foot Police Patrol" together with the also long standing "Failure to Address Minor Complaints" by the RBPF with all various ineffective satellites Police Stations located in differents communities while high authorities like the Police Commissioner & Minister of National security keep claiming that their teams of officers are working on the streets.
I agree, they are working but in Post-mortem way, with the wrong approach, without sufficient staff or "Man Power" which,by the way, ironically are visible in high number,ONLY after the lifeless human body lays on the side of the streets or in the bush,an abandoned house or anywhere in badly neglected neighborhoods by the presence of the " Almighty Teams of Police officers" usually the ones like in cowboy style or civil clothes also those in Kaki uniforms and several others in suit & neck tie, walky -talky,personal paraphernalia like Ipad, julrie, perfume and all of that, including "Big Belly Ones" honoring their Post-mortem,in front of camera presence,to be on national television naming or announcing, placing a number on the ultimate victim of murder ,so far for the year, lying down, many times on the side of the street with a very poor human dignity like the majority of us in The Bahamas.
This is such abominable, unacceptable, disgusted, repeatable, dramaticunwanted scenarios that should STOP.

Oh my God!.
Something went wrong, and still lack of transparency continue camping in this current administration.
An official explanation must be given by this PM in order to show decency ,appreciation, respect and adds some kind of value to the dignity of the people including the ones who voted FNM so to avoid speculation.
I knew that the famous Dr. Hubert Minnis' Pledge of not exposing the wrongdoing by/ and among members of cabinet without complying his protocols, was going to collide with recipients of high integrity individuals like Mr.Brent Symonette, one of a few who came to serve the people rather than serving himself.
He is not known by having sticky fingers or hungry for money from the public pulse because he came to the public services already with his own private fortune.
This PM needs to give a clear, credible explanations about the reasons of Mr. Summer's resignation.
The leader of the opposition should play his duties and claim such credible explanation without any complicity.
