the other suggestion was income tax. but our middle class politicos didnt like the fact that they would pay more than others - as they should. Moreover using income tax meant that their true income would then be public record, and THAT was too much. Less room for lies. So VAT was the least personally and politically invasive and passed the burden on to everyone, including those who can least afford it. Let that sink in.

Section 21 of WHAT? If y'all suddenly bringing up this bible what does it say about the behavior of the Speaker of the House? Pull one rule when you need it but know that the people will hold the government accountable for ALL the rules- moving forward.

Like the sports analogy- but the bench ain't deep at all. For instance- I have to now admit that I thought Dames might be a good minister and a year he has proven himself to be a runner and a robot with zero ideas. I watched that press conference and realized that it was probably his personality that kept him out the top post. I had to admit that all things being equal- Greenslade was more personable. Bench not deep at all. Furthermore- Minnis is not good at processing and responding to criticism- Its remarkable and sand just how bad he is.

Is this true? "The actions of Mr Miller, Mr McAlpine and Mr Robinson came after they were warned that voting against any part of the budget package would create the expectation that they will resign their positions in government, in keeping with the Westminster system of governance." Is this the Westminster system??? Doesn't sound right to me. Its probably because we only remember the Westminster system when convenient.

It is absolutely necessary for ministers to vote according to their values and the desires of the people they represent rather than as a party cabal. Threats and consequences of this nature seem "undemocratic".

Blaming the mothers eh? Classic.

never. we cant scare the tourist away so we put our head in the sand hoping to pray it away. just goes to show you that Dames didn't have all the answers he claimed - I wish they would just admit it and request foreign help - don't ask from where - I don't know. But I have absolutely NO Faith that the RB Police Force are capable of doing a gat dam thing about this crime.

People missing the point and root of the problem AGAIN! The problem isn't this man- He went through the process and "True to form, the Department had no Disabled Driver stickers and none expected and so they suggested that I have one made." This is simply administrative incompetence at the highest levels. A true disgrace. If Road Traffic had its sheet together, we wouldn't even be having this conversation. Of course crap happened after, and the man's frustration towards the popo is misguided but only in part- Sure tow if no sticker was visible but they should NOT have charged him for the tow after an explanation was given. Police lack common sense and judgment or did he need to buy them lunch? SMT! But I repeat- if Road Traffic had its sheet together we wouldn't be having this conversation. No handicapped tags AND they don't know when they would get some? u have to be kidding me. I hate that my unaccounted for taxes supports this level of incompetence.
