Why can't she find something else to do? Goodness gracious, we in the Bahamas have no shame. The fact that she is trying to get back this post speaks volumes of the perks and status it must have provided her. Can't find that power and kind of access to money anywhere else eh? Teachers I recommend a no vote on June 9 ( and a yes, yes, yes, yes vote on June 7!)

they may try to change boundaries.... though that never works- they may try...

Minnis is playing politics- but this is a bit underhanded. If you are having a vote and you know it- why dont publish the rules governing the vote a week before to give people time to become compliant? this back and forth and down the road foolishness- is just that- foolishness.

Greentea says...

really? payback on the lives and rights of women? shameful.

Greentea says...

both of you are dead wrong on this and reflect the attitude that keeping this country backward, partisan, tribal and ignorant. for once in your life take politics and xenophobia out of this, read the damn bills and think in terms of the best interest of the country. this has nothing to do with PLP and FNM and everything to do with human rights. sad that even with bipartisan participation of women - most a y'all dudes and I am willing to bet in every house that y'all are some insecure men - still can't get beyond it. stop using politics as an excuse not to do the RIGHT thing. own up to your misogyny but stop this political BS.

Greentea says...

please cease and desist sheeprunner12. stop reducing something that will benefit women to something it is not.

Greentea says...

perhaps Bran was trying to suggest that the DNA run in certain constituencies and the FNM in others so that they don't cancel each other out. but Minnis probably hell bent on running a full slate with no money, but his own I guess - cause he has something to prove. ego is a beetch. and the taste of power is a powerful drug. Minnis can't admit that his party ain't going nowhere fast. I am sure those who have already been ratified getting nervous.

On Bran open to FNM coalition

Since Flowers gaming occupies a substantial portion, my guess is that it is owned by said company. I have no problem with this. - if it's market value- tough to move real estate right now. But I like the location and prefer it to the town center mall which really needs to be demolished- along with the current post office building, the building that has been vacant at parliament st and Shirley street and the old Adderly building opposite Gucci on Bay Street. And truthfully half of Bay Street. It's a central location with parking - unlike the current one. Maybe the government can build a proper parliament, senate and registrar general facility where the current post office stands- something architecturally stunning- an international competition - not the crappy buildings the ministry of works comes up with. If Bahamians want to participate make sure they think big and creative and not like what happen with that COB library building- UGLY - no redeeming features except it's newer and better than that COB building on Poinciana drive.
