TruePeople. Do you know something we don't? please share. if he was the bag man as you seem to imply- who did he share his ill gotten gains with? My question- can we now have a class action law suit against him and BEC for the loss of refrigerators, tvs, modems, computers, wiring, and ac units for the substandard performance of these generators- when we were still charged full price for the "service"? what is just strange is that he seems to be an Eastender!! And we have it bad over here. blackout, brown outs and everything in between. I had to put a surge protector on the whole damn house! If he is the man- he took bribes that made his own life worse out here. That is typical of the Bahamas these days- shortsighted and dumb. I would love to know- if he is the man and not just the man next to the man- what he did with his 30 pieces of silver.
"The storm is the first Category 4 hurricane to track through the Bahamas in October in 149 years!" Maybe God is trying to tell us something! Mmmmmm let me interpret this for you. "The current political class in the Bahamas needs to go. If after all these signs, wonders, exposure of corruption, exposure of the system, exposure of the Judases is presented to you and you keep deez nuts in power, your demise is your fault. Don't call me." Yours truly, the good Lord.
Why not Cash or Pintard? Not sure whats going on with Pintard - he is uncharacteristically quiet- but these are two eloquent, accomplished, intelligent and relatively young men (compared to PGC) There is also Butler Turner. That's three options who don't seem compromised or corrupt. I can't think of three contenders of similar ilk or promise in the PLP. Can you?
Back to Mr Sands.... Word on the street is good packaging, eager, articulate but came with a warning not to do business with him. We can't afford folks getting into politics to ease their financial woes.
Brave is too close to the top to stop now. He can taste power and can't step back. So he must challenge Christie's position. This is going to be interesting. Because in this case Peter definitely ain't better than Paul. Can someone tell me once and for all whether of not the rumor that he (Davis) is unable to travel to the US is true? I have heard that for years.
The saddest part is that Christie no longer knows when he is doing wrong, breaking the law and exhibiting profoundly poor judgment and extreme moral failure. He believes in his own infallibility and inherent goodness. If he sees himself as the good guy, imagine the crew he has around him? God help us all. And folks this is just the tip of the iceberg. Sweep the house clean.
I agree. No politician just goes into the sunset when they have the option to stay. They most be forced out- one way or the other. Fight it out and put him to pasture, with a year's supply of hair dye! We can do better.
I always pause when I hear Bahamians generalizing about Bahamians and 'their' nasty habits. Aren't you talking about yourslf? I am a Bahamian who cares for the land. I love this country and try to do what I can, but as a people we do tend to pass the buck and think somebody else some genie I guess, will always pick it up, clean it up and wipe up what we dirty and discard. Bahamians should unquestionably have a right of access to any beach in the Bahamas and they should also be held accountable for that right and supported. I think beaches need to have adequate receptacles that are routinely emptied and that beaches need to be policed to enforce some standards. Only few people will actually take the garbage they make at a beach home or to a dumpster - the others need support, enforcement and consequences if they can't uphold the rules in place that are designed to protect places open for the mutual enjoyment of all. If u think freedom means you can do whatever you like on a beach intended for mutual enjoyment of all and act that way- you need to be escorted to your car or the nearest bust stop because it (society and community)don't work like that.
