To be honest a good leader doesn't necessarily have to be able to think quickly on his feet. He needs to be the man (or woman) that considers the big issues carefully and makes the right decision for the country. He also populates his cabinet with true Bahamians not those who are in politics for all they can get.
I voted F only because there is no G category. My anger is not so much at the uneducated and gullible masses who will sell their vote for a microwave but at the many educated Bahamians who voted this Party back in in the full knowledge of their past history in governance. When the new Cabinet was announced following the election, the modicum of hope that I had for the future evaporated immediately. Same old failed politicians whose only agenda is "what's in it for me baby'? Compound this with a Prime Minister who refuses to lead, is incapable of leading, or is hopelessly compromised from leading and what do you have? A government that is totally rudderless and unable to progress any major initiative. Now we have the DPM stupidly blaming the press for highlighting the country's woes. This is typical PLP - let us operate in the dark, don't dare ask us questions and don't dare shine a light on us!
If Bran is serious about being a force in the next election he has to start assembling a team now and build some real momentum in the lead up to the polls. The electorate are totally sickened by the deceit and cluelessness of this administration. Even the gullible who voted these jokers back into power are now realizing they were duped. The time is right for a new party with new ideas and a leader who understands the importance of integrity and freedom of information.
Where is the leadership? The country is imploding and Fred Mitchell would rather spend his time sending disingenuous messages of apology to Malaysia over a slack comment made by the Leader of The Opposition!! This tells you everything about the current administration - full of little boys who want to be big men.
SP - what other side of the story do you want to hear??? That the victim perhaps had attitude with three ***holes who broke into the family home and pointed guns at their head. An innocent man, a visitor to this country has been murdered - there is no other side to the story for God's sake.
