There is no safe bar or club in New Providence. If young people value their lives they need to socialise with good friends only and away from these places where death can visit over a spilled drink, a misread expression or innocently getting caight up in someone else's argument. It is sad but that seems to be the reality of life for young people in The Bahamas.
Wow Birdiebrain. You have taken your PLP troll role to new limits with this comment. The main issue is that the Nygard matter has not come before The Bahamian courts and we don't need to wonder why. Meanwhile Canda and the USA are lining up to prosecute.
Atlantis doesn't want its customers to have low cost food options - they have become increasingly greedy as time has progressed. They even want $20 to valet park your car!
Sounds like Mr. Mortimer is the only person who thinks an eight storey condo hotel slap bang in the middle of a gated residential community is a good idea, lol.
The big question here is why did Town Planning grant provisional approval earlier in the year for a 4 storey Condo Hotel without any consultation with the Balmoral community? There is too much of this nonsense going on across the Bahamas. All proposed developments of a significant nature should be subject to the same planning procedures and that must include public consultation of those impacted. When this doesn't happen it leads to obvious concerns as to whether "shady dealings" are involved.
The commercial banks don't want customers anymore - customer service is non-existant. Fewer tellers, closure of branches, removal of quick drop boxes, discouraging cash deposits and now the attempt to eliminate cheques. It seems the Central Bank is party to this grand plan. I really feel for many of our senior citizens who have no means or understanding to follow this totally unfair agenda. Those in government should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to happen.
50 years of government mis-management and corruption has got us to where we are now. The future is bleak unless we move away from this tribal two-party political system that has served the country so miserably since independence.
