This whole episode just speaks to the utter failure of Hubert Minnis as the leader of the FNM. Senior FNM's have a few months left to persuade him to stand down otherwise the party will destroy itself. The only hope of ousting the worst government in the history of The Bahamas is for the FNM to appoint a new leader and then enter into an electoral pact with Bran McCartney and the DNA. The two parties must not contest each other next year.
The PLP cabinet is a Mafia type organisation. Once you are "in" you never leave and you never criticise your fellow "made men". Christie cannot sack anyone because in all likelihood he knows too much and too much is known about him. What other conclusion can be reached?
Agreed, but he needs a party and some big hitting potential ministers. Maybe time to entice those disaffected FNM's? When he has a group that could resemble a party then he needs to hold a convention and have all senior positions voted on. Unfortunately, he is running out of time for May 2017.
This whole story has really very little do with Lanisha Rolle and everything to do with Hubert Minnis and his sorry leadership of what was once the FNM. Frankly, the party is no longer recognisable to the one led by Hubert Ingraham. It is evident that Minnis does not have the leadership qualities to be able to take what is left of his party and galvanise it in time for next year's election. He has no political instincts and doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes - this is a frightening combination in someone who is being touted as our next Prime Minister. The FNM seems to be on a path of self destruction just at the time when the country needs a responsible alternative to the worst and most corrupt administration since independence.
I can't stand it when politicians quote scripture to us. If they had the remotest understanding and belief in scripture then this country would not be in the mess it finds itself in today. Hypocrites, all of them.
The FNM is in a shambolic state. As it stands, it is totally unfit to be the governing party. Does this mean that the Bahamian electorate is soon going to be asked to choose between one unfit party and another unfit party? I am excluding the DNA since this one man show has not evolved as a party yet.

This is 100% the truth. Baha Mar is being handed over to the Chinese in one huge China / PLP carve up. Disgusting.
