Just like everything else, it's probably our fault right? We don't understand the customs system even though there is a trend of complaints related to NIB information not being accepted. Just like the problem is we don't understand the BGCSE grading schedule right? Just like BPL wasn't/isn't in a crisis and we should just shut up and pay the new "adjusted" bills coming soon right?

So you're saying the bill will be going up in the hope (most likely false hope) that the bill goes down in...errrr..4-5 years? After all the load shedding, burnt up appliances, hot sweaty nights where you can't cook, wash, bathe, post-Dorian effects on the entire Bahamas in one way shape or form, and Christmas coming that an increase on our BPL bills is OK, and that we should brace for it?

Not surprising. Couldn't believe the first exigency order was for 90 days. Within 90 Days after a CAT5 you're supposed log in and digitally apply for exigency and you must import within the specified time? Why set unrealistic goals? It only deters people that might actually need the help.

Hope people photocopy that receipt. The ink will probably fade out from the receipt before they get their license printed.

Confused. Just imports from outside the country? What about purchases made in GB and Abaco from retailers? Details details details.

Pretty pathetic. How do you run out of cards? Seems like a pretty simple thing to track, like the ink for your printer, you have a working quantity and a reserve quantity, we aren't talking about a small business though we are talking about a whole country, and effecting people traveling to the USA to rent a car, sad sad sad.

Sounds pretty similar to Romi saying that the wildcat oil drilling will be done to the highest standard. No notable reference to safety equipment on standby, emergency procedures for oil leaks, expert availability, government officer present on oil rig, nothing. Get ya permit and start drilling.

Bahamians don't eat the recommended fruits and vegetables but has anybody seen the price of fruits and vegetables drop? Were Fresh apples and oranges, spinach and romaine ever added to the Breadbasket?

Might or might not hear much. Remember nothing much really came out relating to the AMMC issues either.

Article Quote: "He said at the time of the storm, only three tanks contained crude oil. Storage tank number 8, which was not compromised, contained 410,178.91 barrels of oil. Of the two damaged storage tanks, number six contained 729,681.08 barrels and number ten contained 730,707.01 barrels"

From the aerial photos we can tell something is in the damaged tanks, but.....since oil floats on water, I guess these geniuses can't figure out how much oil vs water is in the tanks. And how many barrels equals a tank that is 1/4 full... So they say its 729,681 + 730,707 barrels = 1,460,388 barrels total in the 2 tanks. So I'm guessing probably 1 million or 1.2 million barrels spilled.

On Size of oil spill still a mystery
