Hmmmmm.... *Education Minister Jeffrey Lloyd warned yesterday as he urged Bahamians to be more accountable. “Everybody is accountable. The Bahamian people ought to understand that they, too, are accountable and there’s a responsibility of being a citizen in this country and everything else,”*
Once this investigation is finished the Min of Transport can keep the ball rolling and look into the "hackers" that are running tourists around in their boats with no business license, charter license, insurance etc. Including the foreigners running charters in our waters.
lol how you planning on taxing yee people peeing while sitting in the water :) Your source needs to brush up on their seawater vs bladder volume and possible parts per million urine vs harbor water :)
That's a helluva welcome to the Bahamas. Paint ain't even dried on the building and "here ya go, huge contract to wet your whistle." I hope the government has some staffers smart enough to project the compounding costs of IT Infrastructure and maintenance. IT starts expensive and stays expensive with annual maintenance contracts, software and hardware upgrades, data backup and recovery contracts; God forbid we get some major flooding in a datacenter in the low lying GB and you have to replace some of that hardware and data...
Kinda sad IMO. Perhaps these 4 Gents are like 75% of the Bahamian Population and don't yet have enough information from the FNM in order to feel like the VAT hike is the best plan of action, or what the Country truly needs. Perhaps if they were more included they would have felt better about supporting the budget, and would have been able to also share the same with their Constituents. Or they could just say yes boss, yes boss, yes boss...
Probably unlicensed, uninsured tour operator. Just as the airline hackers are targeted for their danger to customers, these "boat hackers" also need to be shut down before someone seriously gets hurt and/or sued.
Not great to look at but after the huge swell we've had there is going to be trashed items and also items brought in with the wind/swell. No huge dumpsters around, so in a pile near the bush out of the way seems better than on the beach to get pulled back in the ocean. Should have asked whats going on with the Eastern Access - steps were getting done quickly then full stop, now no visible work done since March 15th.
