Why is Duane Sands still trying to prostitute vaccines? Countries all around the world are reporting that the fourth wave is affecting vaccinated people as much as unvaccinated people and there are more breakthrough cases amongst persons who took the booster shot than there was under the Delta wave? Disbursed Sands is giving people a false sense of security:hope that if they take the vaccines, everything will be ok. Austria even tried locking down unvaccinated persons only and levying heavy fines on those who violated the lockdown. And their FOUy WAVE got worse ( among the vaccinated) and they are now in full lockdown! Officials in Germany advises that the most effective defense against the fourth wave is the wearing of masks by everyone and always when in public. Not vaccines, not booster shots but wearing of masks. They further warn that the fourth wave should meet this defense in place along with the other pre-vaccine measures. The fourth wave is rapid moving and if you atty to put safety measures w place after it already too late. Even vaccinated people here are now being hospitalized. And cases among persons who recently traveled are also up. Returning residents should be urged to isolate then take at least a rapid covid test. If Duane Sands wants to push the vaccine agenda, being driven by whatever motivates, at least be honest with the people.

At least Bahamians, many, enjoyed almost two years of some form of curfews or lockdown that made them feel safe or have some sense of security during sleeping hours. But as the country has fully reopened and Bahamians are given their freedoms back, so we’re the criminals. Many businesses still close at sunset or earlier than usual and even the drive home USA challenge. Not only the reckless and offensive driving, but there are persons on the streets looking for victims to commit crimes on. Some use the rental vehicles and try creating situations, like bumping another vehicle, to force them to stop. Then the occupants of the unsuspecting vehicle are robbed.

The Bahamas is underpopulated. Many of the Southern islands have barely and population. And if the indigenous Bahamians were to stop procreating , then Tge Bahamas will not be overrun and taken over by Foreigners, many woo are seeking citizenship based on net worth. Bahamian population is not the problem, but Bahamian population distribution . And it was not always that way. Many islands were thriving and since the inhabitants were mostly farmers and fishermen, a family of five was not large and many families consisted of 10-12 family members. And they all could be gainfully employed. Two or three out the family would be sent to Nassau to further their education or seek employment there. But it was Pindling who told Bahamians to ‘leave your farms and fishing boats and come to New Providence and Grand Bahama and experience this new form of economic opportunity.’ It was the opening of one of the phases of Atlantis. So the people left the Family Islands. And everyone crowded in Nassau. And the rest is history. Including the escalation of crime, the death of the Family Islands and their culture and the nee or increased diseases among Bahamians due to their change in diet to mostly American fast food.

‘Let’s fix it’ must include ‘Let’s defemeinize it!’ Government, Education, Social Services, The Church. ALL these institutions have been feminized, by design and cater to women at the exclusion of the average male. For example there are many males who are single parents and in need of social assistance or even men who need social assistance for themselves. But the services cater mostly to females, a woman applying for assistance is ten times more likely to receive it than a male. Same in the job market. Many jobs discriminate against the Bahamian male and some totally exclude them from employment altogether. So we’ll yea, ok not everyone wants to put on shiny shoes and a necktie and work in an office. So if you want to operate a jet ski or heavy equipment or lawn services, you are either a thug or a school dropout. Very little training or financial assistance is offered in these fields. Even the education system is skewed. At grade 9 or 10, an individual already knows what his goals are. And if they, males or females decide they want to get into industry rather than continue formal training ( BGCSE etc) then schools should be designed to allow them to transit into this form of education, rather than continue in strictly academic subjects and not be able to graduate high school , it would then be able for that individual to access institutions like BTVI. Then, of course, the gun and the gang culture must be attacked and dismantled. It is a learned and unacceptable behavior. People learn the consequences of actions by being educated against it repeatedly and at an early age. More effort must be put into teaching proper social behavior in schools. And since driving is almost an essential requirement in society, no student should leave high school without having at least one semester Of Drivero Ed. And more preferably a drivers license. Put meaning in learning. Put programs in place where a person is ‘automatically’ registered to vote at the age of 28, rather than the individual have to drag documents from office to office and never get it done. Same with passport and driver’s license renewal. Most of these things can be done at Post offices where o are available to assist with online applications when it is available.

Obviously this economically immature government is about to set out an economic disaster if they attempt to force wage increases on employees who are trying to recover from lockdowns curfews and an economy that is still not firing on all cylinders. Many workers are currently being paid despite there being insufficient economic activity to keep them full employed. By seeking minimum wage increases at this time government will stimulate mass unemployment. And not to speak about a livable wage. Obviously Keith Bell is out of his league and should not allow Union leaders whose only goal is to satisfy their members demands in the short term, to drive nails in the coffins of thes rebounding economy. Even some seasoned workers in the US workforce can’t draw a livable wage. Simply because external factors , like housing shortages, drive up the cost of living. Here it is many other factors and tourism being the major industry drives up the cost of living for Bahamians . So whilst the employers in the tourism industry may be able to absorb a minimum wage increases , what tge mom and pop shops and single proprietors? Of course stores like Super Vslue and gas stations will pass this cost on to their customers and because of the high volume of sales it may not be noticeable, but what about an employer with 2-4 employees where labor is already a great percentage of sales?

And remember Commonwealth Bank wasn’t giving out consumer loans as much during the pandemic because everyone or most people were locked down and didn’t need them. But as the economy opens, commonwealth Bank’s loan portfolio will expand and drive profits probably to new heights. Many people forget there is no recession! In fact there is a shortage of goods and services and it is leading to hyperinflation or even run-a-way inflation. And as Joe Biden starts to spend his Trillion plus restructuring budget, even more money will hit the economy ( yes here too). The shortage of labor in the US will not only drive up the cost of wages, but it will draw workers from places like The Bahamas, Haiti, Mexico etc. so the demand for goods and services will increase even more. And if the shipping blockage (intentional or not) is not fixed sooner rather than later, the consequences. Most likely stagflation, and even riots at some point.

They always tell you ‘only invest in the stock market what you can afford to lose’. And many who have been living by that rule of thumb have seen their investments grow substantially with minimal losses. The local market is not as volatile as other larger markets and to give examples of good and bad performances. Arawak Port Development went from $10 a share to current value of $ 40 a share , while paying healthy dividends even through the pandemic. Freeport Concrete, on the other hand shafted Bahamians leaving the market owing millions of dollars to shareholders. One of the principals was later involved with Robin Hood, then ‘Everything Must Go.’ He may have eventually been deported from the country because of his shady dealings. Beware of foreigners in a coat suit and with a brief case . That’s probably all they own.

Officials in Germany says the single most determine factor of how intense the fourth wave is in a country is the wearing of masks!’ Not vaccines, not booster shots, not anything else but masks first. And the fourth wave must meet a population with masks on! If spikes or increases have already started, it means that country has missed the opportunity to keep new cases and deaths minimal. And this fourth wave, though rapid moving, affects the vaccinated and unvaccinated. It affects people who had taken booster shots. And persons who have pre-existing conditions should self isolate and follow all the other safety measures as much as possible. Some countries have had to reintroduce curfews and lockdowns.

BoB could have been the second most largest and powerful bank in the country. Owned by the people and serving the people according to their needs. Not a profit hungry , foreign institution trying to reap from Bahamians millions and millions in revenue it lost in fines and other expenses for operating in contravention of banking laws, rules and regulations. But NO! The politicians could not keep their grimy claws off BoB! And some were goodies on by others is the banking industry. Persons who had ulterior motives. And many bday ‘get rid of Bahamasair!’ Do you know what the cost of flying to and from The Bahamas will be if Bahamasair was dismantled or disposed of? Bahamasair and BoB and BPL just needs right fixing like the Arawak Port, the airport and the soon to be revamped cruise port. Some private investment and a management structure that prohibits political interference. And ALL these institutions can become cash cows where Bahamians can benefit. They call you a racist when you oppose the attitude that ‘foreign is better.’ But time to prove that ‘Bahamian can be better. And it must be better!’
