Austria tried locking down only unvaccinated persons when the fourth wave hit. But the situation got worse. Now that country is going into full lockdown on Monday. But the experts say this may create an even worse situation. Locking down healthy people who can be out keeping the economy going. Dr Scott Atlas says if the world didn’t deny the science and not discounted the natural immunity of persons who recovered from the virus, the situation will be less severe. And now vaccinating young children against a virus that is disappearing.

There was a female principal of prominence at a high school in New Providence. And, apparently, her job was to weed out every male teacher that was assigned to the school. Not because she was anti/male but it made her appear to be stronger than life and more successful as succeeding where many had failed. And after she retired more male teachers were assigned to the school. Not only did many of the problems with students violence and misbehavior disappear, but the school started to excel more in sports and ther academic performance also improved. Time to unlock this country from the arms of selfishness and greed. The ‘all for me’ and ‘all about me’ eras are gone!

And not only social services but the church, other government agencies and even the tourism industry that tells young , Black males ‘you can’t be ear Clark’s or Dickies on this job’. ‘You have to get the shiny (dress pants and the dress shoes ( with the slippery bottom so you have to walk on tippy toes.’ Most Bahamian males will not put themselves in a position where their masculinity is being challenged or compromised whether it’s in the church, a government agency or employment. And even when the police pull up and proceed to do a full body search in public. It is wrong and it is all by design to make the Black man feel unwanted as like he doesn’t fix. So his choice is to step out the bounds of society and become antisocial and criminal even. To the point of committing murder even. So it is society that needs to be fixed more than the young (Black and Brown ) male. That is why the more money is spent on policing and crime fighting, the more crime among Black youth increases. Unless and until Bahamian society is fixed to include the Black male and restore him to the position of the head of the household and the home, the problem with crime will continue to persist. The young men will continue to rebel. The young men know something is wrong but they don’t know how to fix it. But those in authority and with power do. But they continueto ‘sissying’ around and say it is a crime problem because they have less competition in their own roles. Go visit ANY African country where males have not been displaced out of their God given and appointed roles. Crimes against the persons are low and murder is close to zero. Time to end a America’s fake war on Black males.

John says...

We see the violence and the crime and the antisocial behavior, murder even, especially among young men. So how did we get here? So here’s part of the problem: Abstract
Throughout the institution of social services attention to the needs of black male youth has been subjugated relative to the needs of women and girls. Despite the educational failures and hyper-incarceration of black male youth they remain aloof from social services. In the aftermath is an invisible crisis not irrelevant to the feminization of social services. Such feminization is evident in the social work databases and social service help models where it has dominated. If social service agencies are to balance the influences of feminization, it is imperative to de-feminize social services by systematically addressing the needs of black male youths. The outcome will contribute to their academic successes and reduction in rates of hyper-incarceration. Only then will it be possible to sustain alternatives to the feminization of social services and the potency of the social work profession at-large.

But nevertheless whilst here chattering in black and white, the fourth wave of Covid is a raging around the world! The number of daily new cases can surpass the number of new cases of the Delta strain when it was at its peak, in a matter of days.
.
.
And while most of the cases are in Russia and Europe, at least 21 states in the US are seeing surges. When the fourth wave began, reports were that there were a lot of breakthrough cases, especially amongst those who took third booster shots. But as the fourth wave arrived and started to blanket the US, the reports are that the new cases are mostly amongst the unvaccinated. But the US is still urging citizens to get their third booster shots ( second of the Johnson and Johnson and some experts say the second shot should not be Johnson and Johnson but another brand). And the US is also rushing to vaccinate children 5-11 years old even though outbreaks among this group has been sparodic and the number of deaths negligible. At least two companies have applied for approval of oral medications that reportedly significantly reduces the symptoms of Covid and lessens the chance of hospitalization or deaths. These medications are said to cost between $300 to $400 per treatment.
.
.
This country is as wide open as it has been in 16 months. And with the great amounts of social and economic activity, clearly there’s some type of immunity in effect, among Bahamians and residents alike. But , as in the past, if a fourth wave hits this country, it will be brought in from the outside. The borders are extremely porous and the coming week will be a busy one both for residents traveling abroad and for tourists coming here. Many Bahamians believe the pandemic is over and are partying likewise. Some places Bahamians travel to or tourists come from do not have Covid restrictions in place, including the wearing of masks. So the rules here must be strictly enforced over the next few weeks and probably leading right through the Christmas holidays.

Name one that is still closed. I’ll wait. In fact name one that failed also. I know of numerous Black businesses that closedown. Many businesses that applied for government assistance and found the application process too tedious or invasive or some who managed to get through it and were told that the funds were exhausted, wait for the next tranche, then told that again and again. Bet you don’t know the story behind why a certain shoe store is now selling small kitchen appliances.

Experts warn to expect more of this behavior, post pandemic, post curfew and post lockdown as the mental stress takes its toll on , not only the Bahamian populace, but on people around the world. And as some school around the world struggle to open around the world, they too have been marred by violence as students, who have been locked away for some28 months, just don’t know how to act in a social environment anymore. An this is not to give excuse to the violent, murderous, and definitely unacceptable behavior of the male who mowed down the young lady (who reportedly held a baby at some point ) with his vehicle at high speed. And this is also a clarion call to government officials. All is not well amongst the Bahamian population. Prepare and have ready psychological assistance for those who need it. Whilst both governments tout about how much money they have paid out to Bahamians from National Insurance, there are many individuals who received not a single red cent. Some are still not working. Some have become homeless and have no where to turn, Government must move in haste to put a review board in place to review all persons who were rejected by NIB for assistance even though they made contributions for many years. And even today these persons are not employed and receive not a dime.

So in preparation for the Fourth Wave, which is now rampant in a large portion of the US, government fully removes curfew. Sounds about right. Thanks Brave and Mike. Y’all don’t like empty beds at PMH obviously.

Someone telling lies. BiG LIES!! They telling consumers to come in and mak a payment plan. They also required the consumer to make a payment to activate the plan. And when it’s all done the parting shot is, ‘ if you miss your regular payment or any of the payments in the plan, you will be disconnected!’
