And based on Minnis' estimation of 500 million being lost annually by the government, due to corruption, how much has that figure been reduced in the past 11 and a half months of the minni's FNM government and how much will that be reflected in the net budget and borrowing?
Apparently Minnis is following the British way of governing where everything is subjective and decision making is long and drawn out, compared to the US where government is by objectives: Decide what you want to do, figure out how to do it then just do it.not to worry about the consequences...leave that for the future governent to worry about
When you hear about ‘people money gone missing ‘ from a bank account, you don’t know how serious it is until you experience it yourself. And when the bank keeps telling you ‘they are looking into it, then eeeks go by and then weeks turn into months and you don’t get your money back. Just the same set of questions and the same promise from the bank, we looking into it. And then some people claims that they had to hire a lawyer to get their money back and others who say they just give up after two years of waiting and just close their accounts and ‘stop dealing with that bank.’ But isn’t there some authority that ensures that depositors’ funds are safe and they are reimbursed for lost funds without having to go through a long, drawn out legal battle with the bank?
@Well-mudda-take-sic. STOP talking garbage with your as usual anti-Bahamian jibber. RBC and Barclays were fined a combined total of $3.5 Billion for scams they did in Europe and RBC was hit with close to a Hundred Millon for banking violations in the Caribbean. And yes banks are being hit hard by professional scammers that work at ripping off banks full time. Hence the push for digital banking. And banks are spending close to $100 Billion to go digital. But what they lose in the Bahamas is peanuts to what goes on worldwide.
Will they bring the English teachers back? But O too many of the female ones went back pregnant. And some of the men lleft chirren sherry to the Pickering and Dysons more.
