They use to have these guys go through Bahama Host programs that taught them how to conduct their business and interact with tourists or any beach user for that matter. Is Bahama Host still in operation?
Secondly many of these jet ski operators are young and may not realize that taking a young female to the beach and giving her no other alternative but to have sex with them is rape and not seduction so maybe the police can have some interaction with these guys and educate them about the laws of rape. Let them know any form of aggressive behavior will not be tolerated and will result in them being banned from the jet ski business.
Then it is also obvious that the tourist who claims she is suffering post traumatic stress disorder is trying to go after Atlantis for monetary compensation. After being told by Atlantis that it does not own the beach or have control over the jet ski operators, that didn't sit well with her.
But we must train our young men and women to be a productive part of the tourist industry and not look to ban them from everything. Proper training and information is necessary for this to happen.

When you look at how much money goes back to government in the various forma of taxes in this country you wonder how any business is surviving. government and its inefficiencies and its corruption is the biggest contributor to the high cost of living in the Bahamas. AND yes there are cartels operating in the country that control various markets.

Prices are up not because of VAT but the cost of doing business is up. Despite all the blackouts and damages to equipment, and the lowest price for oil in a decade, BEC bills are up 10% over last year. Labor costs for food stores have increased because they will no longer hire persons with questionable status. The price of orange juice has increased almost 50 percent and lamb chops have more that doubled from $1.99 a pound to $4.79. Add another 7.5 Vat to these come January 1 and its back to noodles and sardines for most of the country.

The road development project was overrun by $100 million but Bahamians reclaimed that amount in a year by the reduced man-hours waiting in traffic and the savings on fuel. This (PLP) government borrowed a billion in its first year in office and has nothing to show for it...not to mention years 2 and their third year in corruption..err I mean office!
