Not all off-duty officers are armed though. Imagine if the officer were not armed, the remaining bullets in the gun could have be used to close the loose end (the officer and his friend).
I thought 10,000 was the standard suspicion amount in cash. This is simply discrimination at its finest. The DEU cannot prove that this was the result of drug proceeds unless the tribune is missing some key details about this. I dont care if these men have a history of drugs, if they are allowed to travel then that speaks for itself. There was no law being broken, just a coincidence that there are 2 men travelling to jamaica with an excess of 5000.
Police are Reactive, if they were Proactive it would result in a police state. Crime cannot be stopped as long as their are humans occupying this planet. Sin is simply in our nature and although it can be curved, it cannot be controlled.
I think you all forgot that the quality in the states in regard to the marijuana, hashish oil, is much better than you would find en route to America. This is a new day and age, it used to be trying to get everything to America. Now, America will soon be the motherland in this hemisphere when it comes to the quality. So its not about who has it now, its about who has the better quality.
If the Bahamian people cant get this worthless government in touch with the dire needs and situations affecting majority of the 'peasants', the WTO will.
Butler families as you say, being larger than average should aspire and work to defeat the 'butler' stereotype that you present, especially if this specific butler would like to be a leader of a country. You should be ashamed.
