I think Sebas and the Gaming House Syndicate have forgotten how many years they were actually operating 'illegally'. He speaks as if he has done no wrong. If I were him I would consider myself lucky to avoid long term jail time and escalating fines for the years of blatant disrespect for the law; bootlegging these numbers & swindling thousands of desperate Bahamians. The legalization and gentrification of the 'Number House' by the former government was a big slap in the face to Bahamians and a big slap on the wrist for these well known money laundering 'law breakers'. The only thing that is 'very unfortunate' to them is that this will now probably lower their lucrative income, slow 'some' of their frivolous spending & showing off that they love to do. Even though I doubt that this would affect anything except highten the odds of losses vs winnings, maybe some job loss even though they probably dont employ as much persons they love to make us 'think' they do. They can always control their income & that is how their 'system/softwares' operate for those that dont know. These persons are modern day 'pirates'. The gravitational forces radiating from Woodes Rodgers grave can be used as an ideal 'centrifuge' for the training of top notch astronauts and jet fighter pilots alike, let alone the possibility of time travel itself.

Hmm I wonder why the many locations have decreased. Oh I know, maybe because the mob gaming industry has reverted to 'Online' & 'Mobile' gaming and the development of newer and bigger locations were agreed upon to accommodate more addicts in order to facilitate a hub or head and sub quarters to eliminate the costs of rent, bills, and personnel needed to facilitate the variety of small locations that were popping up everywhere in every neighborhood. So even though some of the many outlets have closed down, your main outlets in your associated 'key' areas were expanded. It is also a getaway and lounge for persons who love the 'casino' atmosphere' while neglecting their families and responsibilities in return & a financial institution for their deposits & withdrawals.

Mr. Dames needs to boost the need for physical fitness as well. Too many obese persons holding on to high positions within that force. Many of them on the road in patrol cars cant even give chase on foot. Everyone should be able to pass a physical fitness test at least once per month with mandatory exercise/gym time built into their schedules for 1-2 hours at least 3 to 4 times per week & failure to do so should only result in desk jobs, answering the phones, eating peas & rice, and staining the paper with macaroni grease as they take complaints.

@John The ministry did not tell the man how to invest his money, but he cannot always believe that because he has money that the government can be bribed into allowing him to do what he wants when he wants to. The Peoples Republic came in with a much more significant blueprint as it relates to Bahamas economic growth & they secured their approvals years before breaking ground which is entirely more justifiable than a man who tries to play God with the poor, who just shows up with cash on hand demanding things how he wants while ‘seeking’ approval in the process. He and his counterparts bribe for a living & the PLP slapped them all on the wrist. The FNM is now smothered with the former’s bad dealings & are trying to eliminate and correct these issues. You cannot compare the Chinese to the Bahamas’ Organized Gambling Crime Syndicate.

JohnDoes says...

@John Stop comparing to the chinese. The chinese obviously have a better bargain in which it will attract more tourist & employ more Bahamians and actually benefit the Bahamas in some way. Bookie Boy Bastian simply wants more personal gain & another transit point to launder money: “offering office units for sale, with four design options available to potential clients, in a bid to exploit the growing demand among law firms, financial services providers” costing him $25m in real estate sales already? No plan to help economy only to add to his already exorbitant personal wealth & take more from what little pieces of land we have left on this island. This is all a money grab while trying to entice those industries to secure his laundering foot hole which is more like a Bear Trap for New Providence. This man needs to invest elsewhere but hmm ‘elsewhere’ doesnt take cold moist musty cash in briefcases.

JohnDoes says...

Im sorry Mr Bastian but the 'Fat Rat' you smell is the one sitting & casually feasting in the middle of your 'musty' money pit, knocking up the other female Rats that cant get enough of the poor people's money.

Why yall crazy people dont leave this alone. Our tiny islands aint got nothing to do with whats going on. I dont know why everyone is making this a Trump issue, blaming Trump. The action was passed by the Allies, it was a joint intitiative. Assad is clearly breaking the Geneva Convention law, that was passed after WW1 when they realized the enormity of the collateral damage that the use Chemical Weapons pose. These are the same allies that prevented the Nazis from taking over the world, along with help from Russia. Sadly Russia is on the wrong side of the playing field, but that is probably because of its geographical location & similar political views (its much cheaper for Russia to side with those closer countries to avoid conflicts especially as it relates to trade) They are are major super power as well, maybe not as agile as the U.S and its allies, but they can handle their own. All in all, The Allies are right in every aspect of this. Assad is a dictator and if the U.S and its allies were not around, everyone else would be dictators and major crimes against humanity would exist with no checks & balances in place.

To me it doesnt matter how long it takes, once it gets done. We all know how long it takes the govt to get to work on these roads. I dont think its that bad if they run a couple days late. I just wish that they damn pave the rest of Soldier Road/Village Road from TCBY to Shirley Street. That same old road what Queens College is on, they been neglecting that for YEARS.

Everything he touches is controversial because many know that behind all the glitz & glamour, his practices are actually corrupt, reaping off of the poor, and getting rid of dusty, musty money through these 'care' organizations and extravagant parties with unfathomable giveaways that he, his colleagues, and others before him started. Lets not forget that his partners are wanted for various international crimes & they flaunt their ill gotten gains whilst taking advantage of the Bahamian people & system. He is just a baby face of a criminal syndicate & flaunts his ill gotten gains as a way to sway the public and even the government into thinking he is legit. No wonder our country gets black listed from various international union/trade organizations. No wonder no foreign bank wants his money. He is actually reaping some of what he has sewn, but his days in success are numbered as the country slowly moves toward advancement.
