Rubbish. I suggest you go to Expedia.com and search for tomorrow FLL to nas. lots of flights available all day long. Direct flights starting at $272. Delta, Bahamasair, American, and Jet Blue.
Besides that obvious "fact check", please be aware that all of this noise in the market with the shut down gas pipeline and everything else is just a smokescreen to take your attention off of the big problem - which is forced vaccinations. Pay attention and you will see they will pull every trick in the book. Get ready for explosions, plane crashes, fires, mass shootings, anything that makes news so that people lose focus on the forced vaccinations.

Please don't encourage Bahamians to "not vote at all". Our system does not recognize low turnout. If only 10 people vote in a constituency and someone gets 4, someone gets 3, someone gets 2, and someone get 1 vote - then the candidate who got 4 votes wins that seat. The thousands that stayed home played no role whatsoever and now are stuck with Mr. 4 Votes. (or Mrs. 4 Votes).
Please encourage people to vote Independent. I don't know how many decades of cut hip from FNM and PLP the Bahamian people wish to receive. They can receive however many they vote for, of course.
Didn't we just throw these folks out 4 years ago? The same Davis and many of the others? They got new batteries for their halos now, so we must vote them in again? Or vote FNM? Seriously?
I swear if FNM or PLP win this next election, then the Bahamas deserves whatever it gets. People with no jobs, no health care, being tossed out by landlords cause they ain't working? Being treated like terrorists at the banks? Whatever we get we will deserve.

Sounds like a Russian cyber attack - there is NO WAY that 5000 people are applying for permission to visit the Bahamas at this time. Don't make me laugh.

But then, I just had to laugh when I read the name of the fishing place...."Born Free Fishing Charters" - that's even funnier that people who are applying for permission to travel would go to a place called Born Free. Unless I guess we all accept now that maybe we were born free, but now we are tagged animals. That's funny and not funny at the same time.

Maybe I will open up a charter business and call it "Filthy Disease Spreader Fishing Charters" in order to be more hip with the times.

Yes, there is a serious issue with low income housing - because every "house" that pops up is occupied by a Haitian. Remember there are 12 million of them down there just waiting for the next boat to come up. Maybe we should impose a $100/gallon gasoline tax (yes one hundred dollars per gallons) to help to pay for the additional costs of housing and health and schooling etc for Haitians in this country. Good idea? If it were a referendum, I would vote YES for sure. Only then will people get a true feeling for the magnitude and stupidity of the problem.

Until employers are fined very very large fines, the problem wont go away.

Chester Cooper, we don't want your new normal. If that's what you're running on, save your $400. I see the mass shootings have been increasing in the USA. Even had a school shooting in Russia yesterday (of all places). People are reaching the end of their rope. How many more feet or inches are on that rope? I don't know. The problem, often times though, is that when ropes reach their ends and uprisings begin they are often very very difficult or even impossible to stop. I remember the LA riots after Rodney King. Imagine that on a global scale?

Why would anyone want to vacation anywhere during this time? Too many rules and regulations - plus you can't go anywhere to do anything - you always have to wear your mask, and you have to keep 3 pretzels in each of your socks all day long. During the day they end up crumbling and you then need to wash your socks separately in the sink before putting them in the laundry machine - or else the pretzel crumbs get into all of your clothing and stain them.

This is simply stupid. How can you have fun under these conditions?

Until the mask and pretzel requirements are removed, I myself to do not plan to go anywhere. I can walk around to nowhere just as well here as I can in any other city/country.

P.S. Channel 10 from Florida was recently there in Abaco and interviewed the Haitians and reported their sad crybaby tales - but interviewed nobody else. A one-sided story. Did they hear about the man on Peter street who was sleeping on the sidewalk last week cause he had nowhere to sleep indoors? No, or course he not. That man must have a been a worthless Bahamian dog - not worthy of notice or report.
