He thinks he will win by a sympathy vote. Trust me - the very very vast majority can see sympathy in their rearview mirror, many cars behind.

Sir - I hereby give the Tribune my permission to give to you my contact info should that or any similar situation occur so that you can call me and I can rush immediately to kiss your feet and wipe them with expensive oils like that lady in the Bible did to Jesus. And I'm not joking. I will probably bring a thousand people with me. So ya feets gah be dead clean and smellin good !!!!! LOL

"Rights Bahamas said Mr Johnson ought to be reminded that the Bahamas is a member of the UN Human Rights Council, representing caricom of which the Republic of Haiti is a member."

So what does that mean? Bahamians need to all commit suicide to make room for Haitians?

"First of all, the majority of the individuals in question are not Haitian, but Bahamian citizens or lawful permit holders, as his government’s own studies have shown."

You sure they are not Japanese? Where yall get this stupid idea from? And if it is true then how come only Haitians making noise about it? You know the answer, because if a Bahamian should open his mouth and say he is living in an illegal establishment, he will be fine or arrested or otherwise dealt with by the law. If yall open ya mouth then the UN and every other cry-baby organization around world comes running like they heard a dog whistle.

Dorian and Covid have nothing to do with NOT putting in the place the freedom of information act years ago, revealing where the VAT money has gone, explaining these CRAZY amounts of money yall borrowing for airports and other stuff BEFORE you borrow them - yall just go around borrowing on our grandchildren as if we gave you permission, and not to mention these police running around with machine guns all over the place coming into restaurants treating us like dogs.
Finally, even though Davis is the head of it - you could have put pressure and continued to bring up the fact that the PAC does not meet - esp after than young MP resigned from that post.
People are not knowing where all of OUR money is going - but we sure as heck know it is going.
He is weighing his options on extending the state of emergency cause he might wanna campaign - he might as well extend it cause campaigning aint gonna help the FNM one tiny bit. The FNM is gonna LOSE this election so bad we might have to put some blow up puppets or something in some seats to pretend we have some opposition MPs this time. The DNA ain't serious about fighting for the constituencies they might be able to win - but continue to follow their whole nation model - so they ain't gonna get even one seat AGAIN. So it looks like PLP 39, FNM and the rest 0. The Queen might have to appoint a Governor General for real this time. OMG - you couldn't plan to do a worse job than these cats - and it's mainly because of a know-it-all attitude and failure to consult.

Plus ya still hoggin Crown land, and forcing poor Bahamians to get mortgage. Then ya selling just the land (supposedly for cheap - LOL) then they gotta get mortgage for that and they house.
Why don't we just give all the Crown land back to the Queen and tell her please keep it - we are too ignorant to know how to live on it?

"“We see in Andros, Bahamians are now going and deciding that they are going to clean their own pieces of property because they’re saying that others are coming into the territory and doing as they like. We are a country of laws. "

Yeah - and it's only because you see bahamians taking advantage of the looseness and trying to get a little something for themselves, that yall decided to act. If it was only Haitians building in Andros, cat would have ya tongue.

That wouldn't work here - because nobody is checking these businesses / construction companies to see who is working there. If someone by chance gets found - only the worker gets a fine or something - the employer gets a slap on the wrist. We need to start fining these businesses who employ illegals the amount of 20% of their last year's businesses license earnings gross (reported). They may complain that will put them out of business - too bad.

"Some political observers are of the opinion that by his actions, Mr Moultrie is agitating for Parliament to be prorogued, forcing an election."

No maam !!! The Speaker is agitating for a toilet to be installed in his office. He has been asking for over a year. How long should he wait for a toilet? What is the normal wait time for such matters? This has to do with nothing else. He will keep turning up the volume, until government pays a plumber or one comes by and installs one for free.
He feel he has sufficiently begged the Cabinet Office (which is not a part of the independent legislative branch) for the funding, and also for a few extra dollars in case he might need a new pencil.
However, he finds himself in the position of a beggar, going with hat in hand to the Cabinet office - a beggar just like the rest of us - therefore a man of the people in the truest sense of the term.

JokeyJack says...

Why can't he pick up the phone to London, as the Official Opposition Leader if the Constitution is not being followed? Or protest by making it public that because of this lawlessness the PLP will sit outside on chairs outside the House for all House sessions for the remainder of this month.
When questioned why they are not doing their job, he can reply "we are not allowed to do our job."
These people TALK too much, but never follow up with action. Just saying "oh, they wronged me" and moving on like nothing happened, does not help. The person will just "wrong you" again - and your supporters will wonder what you good for.

JokeyJack says...

Yep, just another way to ensure that each and every Bahamian knows that they are a beggar. Beg for your rights. We are 'giving' you something, you can come down to the office and beg for it. If we like your foot shuffle, we will grant it.
