Seriously, if the person(s) responsible for bringing them here and also the patrons were dealt with, this would stop. Unfortunately, The Bahamas is know as a lawless nation where one may or may not get a spank on the wrist and subsequently continue to break the law. Dealing with this issue is so easy, but when you have police officers as spectators at these places, their bosses and politicians getting kick back, then its a very good mix for some of the ills we suffer today. It affects society and no one seems to care because they are directly benefiting.
Please don't do this. We experience this cultural event but twice a year. Fix the problems. So many people come from far away to see this. Will the price of the tickets be reduced by half?
Thanks all am glad I asked the question. As someone said, we dare not speak ill of the dead. One of the many problems we have as a people is that we close our eyes and allow those in authority to take advantage... thus our politicians no matter of uninformed they are continue to bring our country down and we do nothing. .
I am so deeply saddened by the loss of so many lives..But could someone kindly advise what Mr Munroe did for the Bahamian people? Am not talking about his parishioners! Am talking about the residents in The Bahamas. Please dont cuss me out, am not being cynical, I just wondering.
As hard as it may be for me, I am supporting Leslie on this one. Now all he needs to do is pay his bills and encourage his friends to do likewise. Simple
Yes don't forget the Jamaicans. They are more ungrateful than the haitians and actually badmouth the country and its people every chance the get. For the most part, the are just nasty opportunist who think that they are so smart. Ship them out too.
BEC is over staffed and over paid. It is poorly managed and 'those in power' are not paying. Fix that and we headed towards a better place. Bahamians are quite capable of running that place if they employ the rules. Everyone should pay their electricity bill...regardless , Again, am in darkness even though I have paid my bill and I for sure that there are so many others who have electricity and have not paid a cent in years...smh
Good job Immigration Department!! Now Police should be out there the same way to get rid of the criminals on the street and the people of the country stay on top of the criminals in parliament so that they too can pay their taxes, electricity bills and mortgages The future can be brighter. By the way am writing this in the dark even though BEC was paid in full.
