Ms. Duncombe might be onto something. This poll is very twisted an one-sided. Soon before we know it, any and everybody will be allowed to buy and build in the Bahamas. The amount of trash that is discarded on a daily basis by these massives ships are disgusting. What will happen to our beautiful pristine waters? Who will visit after our country when it is destroyed by greed?
Mr. Bayley doesn't seem too genuine with his comments. Also, there is a certain demographic that visits the Bahamas regularly. Whose to blame for the lack of attractions? These visitors are usually looking for a quick getaway at a low price. Nassau is only 21.7 miles. The cruise lines specifically target Bay St. and Atlantis as Tourist designated areas. Their passengers should be encouraged to see more of Nassau and the outer islands especially if they are here for 2 to 3 nights.
The government should make the time to visit every island. There way too many excuses and pointing the finger at who did what and didn't do that. Grow up, take responsibility for your actions. Listen to the local's queries see what can be done to modernize their conditions and make them more suitable. Each island should receive the same attention. Stop stirring the pot. We need solutions not another 10 years of complaining.
Bahamians need this deal to happen. With the recent cruise increase, this is beneficial to our economy. This deal will " lower port tariffs and fees, boost Bahamian shareholders and lower consumer goods prices and groceries". Last year we complained about the 12% VAT increase. 5 years ago we complained about Bay St. and Prince George Wharf appearance. Now this year our government wants to change all of how we see and do things. There will always be something to complain about. Think about this deal improving Bahamian Lifestyle and making the Bahamas a better place.

Excited to say the least. Overly joyed and looking forward to this change. A unified bus system in the Bahamas is long overdue.
