It would be great that the cards are also laid on the table for the Bahamian people as well - Answering Moody but have not answered the questions raised by your citizens ? go figure! What again is the rational for this nationalization? Its a step in the wrong direction - Goes against all best practice and conflicts with the commitments we have made in our international trade agreements and contrary to the others we seek to join - We need to strengthen the regulator to ensure better service and competitive prices and open this market to competition to give Bahamians the choice in provider and lower prices - Liberalize not nationalize - #wrongdirection The minority shares and the fact that the asset is here provides us with leverage and if we want access to the 'backbone' for e-medicine - e-learning or any other facility we can certainly get that access - It is certain that CWC will not cede management control - So please tell us again ....slowly ...why?
DUH? This is a step in the wrong direction and the commitment to liberalize this sector is written into the international trade agreements which we are now party and those we propose to join - I can appreciate that their maybe some questions to be answered in terms of the process but the fact that service is improving (3.5 G is still more than 2) and the Government is doubling its return even though its own less than half of the company is enough reason to leave it alone and do more to regulate the sector - force improvements to the service and open the door to allow competition in which will have the impact of driving cost down. Get busy doing something that creates opportunity instead of confusion
I just wish the police would do their job and arrest these confessed criminals - Sebass says he doing his and the church doing theirs - Somebody please call Commish and ask him to do his! This optional enforcement is a slippery slope..
“I think.” said Mr Major, “that would’ve been a wonderful opportunity for the Bahamian people to hear from the statesman who has served his country for 40 years.
#“But I believe choosing the 19th had more to do with this being the anniversary of his appointment to Parliament, therefore it has special significance to him.
#“There is no House session on the 19th and there won’t be a House session till the 25th.”
Today is the 25th - The Speaker was aware of the issue and supported the idea - Why then not let him speak? - Even those who despised the man could have relished in the fact that this would be the last time they would hear from him. Its disgraceful and a blight on our parliamentary democracy
Somebody better shut this idiot up before some decides to enforce the laws of The Bahamas - Maybe even go as far as to look into the legislation related to the proceeds of crime!! #sebASS
