a small step in the right direction...make sure a few are done at the Northern Campus (Grand Bahama) as well.

Finally ...Minnis finally gives the right response. You are right Mr Minnis...the problems of this country are the issue...not the leadership of the FNM. When election time comes let's focus on that! Who's solving the issues this country faces? Crime...poverty...economic downgrade...Paris is burning!

Senator McCartney...just because others do it; doesn't mean its OK for you to as well...rise above them. If you want these type of statements to stick, please also include facts and examples that the people can corroborate; that's the only way to make sure your voice is above all the other noise 'we the voters' are hearing.

Can you please clarify for me (a curious reader) whom exactly are the African slaves you speak of? Slavery itself was abolished in this part of the world some time now.

Be sure to include the same critique on TripAdvisor and Yelp as well. We need to hold each other accountable for the products and service we put out in this country. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Tal. I respectfully don't insist, and doubt my sensitivity would be impacted in any way. More concerned about National issues during this election year, as opposed to one lawyer's opinions expressed in a private meeting. Hope the media starts channeling attention to the real issues going on in this country...crime, credit rating, corruption, etc.

I read his comments in the article above. They represent his opinion (not necessarily fact). And while they represent his opinion, I am not surprised by his assessment. I am a black Bahamian with several white foreigners married into my family. I have first hand examples of what he is eluding to. Let's try to accept self-awareness for 2017...I don't agree with his generalisation of Bahamians, but certainly can see how he came to such conclusions...admit that.

BINGO! There is an apparent tunnel vision on what crime is...and THAT in itself is half the issue.

Millennial242 says...

So am I to believe that crime is down because the murder rate has decreased compared to last year? That would be all nice and dandy if CRIME=Murder...what about all the other types of crime that is still rampant in this country? Come on...please...this tunnel vision approach is alarming (and vexing). Please...everyone...wake up. Crime is up....all crime.
