Some writers seem to think that once the FNM got into power they would have a magic wand to erase all known and unknown debt and start from scratch. I would like to see names of all the company heads, politicians and persons who signed of on all these devious and crooked schemes. How about central Eleuthera where a huge area of land was excavated by bulldozers for months to level it for a hospital. At least three groundbreaking ceremonies (last one just before the election) which in themselves must have cost thousands of dollars) and now a mountain of curry. Who got paid, how much and who signed off on this hair brained idea? There must be a record somewhere.

I love it "endanger the life of Eleutherans". We are more at risk because of management here in Eleuthera not being able or willing to supply regular water to the public than 30 years ago. The population is growing as are the number of dwellings but often water is off for days creating a real risk of disease. The PLP culture was to engage companies often not qualified, often with ties to MInisters or other persons of power and give out work without tendering. Name the people who actually signed off on any deals and prosecute them. Seize their assets and return the funds to the public purse.

Name the buildings so the public can see for themselves.

Look at the huge pile of curry excavated at great expense in Palmetto Point for the huge hospital that will never be built.. Purchased from an ex minister and now abandoned. Typical third world all show and only benefiting a few. There is some of the wasted money.

I just wish that w & S would provide water at reasonable pressure every day for 24 hours in Eleuthera. Disgusting part time water rationing service.

The real tragedy is that people like birdie actually exist , will not and refuse to acknowledge the
total mismanagement of this countries finances over many many years. Had the PLP been re elected then total financial collapse, devaluation and IMF controls would have been as certain as day follows night. Yes it is somewhat repetitive reminding the public of the financial mess but obviously necessary as you and other die hards refuse to accept reality. Bear in mind much of this outstanding debt has been incurred in projects etc etc that have not benefitted the country one iota. I can only hope Birdie that you are highly intelligent and post your comments to elicit reaction.

I totally agree with the first part but I am sure the last comment is said tongue in cheek.

I have a BTC house phone which rarely works especially after rain. My cell calls are ofren dropped. Not employees fault just like W and S lack of investment just the third world attitude of spend and waste.

Most principals were not promoted on ability and a good Principal is hard to find. They suddenly know everything and often will take no advice or suggestions as they see it as a threat to their authority. Staff meetings are replaced by so called staff briefings meahjng I tell you what will happen and you do not ask questions. One current Principal in the system failed teacher training, was moved out of his chosen teaching area because of incompetance and still was rapidly promoted.

Oh yes Birdie hide everything. Come to Palmetto Point and the huge mountain of curry excavated at great cost to provide a level surface for the " hospital". Not only that but it was purchased from a prominant ex PLP minister when clear title is now under debate. Of course no hospital., no tenders, mind you lots of ground breakings at the taxpayers expense. Remember the old adage " to forget history is to repeat history".

On $200m PLP contracts escaped any tendering
